I am a huge coffee person. I'm not a coffee snob but I do enjoy good coffee. I tend towards (oat)milk drinks so I haven't tried the espresso by itself since I don't have much to compare it to anyways.\n\nI am extremely happy with this machine. It's fast, it's easy, it comes with everything you need to get started right away. There are some things you can do that will have a huge impact on the quality of your drink. But you can start with what you have and work your way up based on your comfort level. \n\nIt heats up faster than I can prepare the puck. The switch between steaming and brewing is quick and feels seem less. The speed and not waiting 30 minutes to heat up has me spoiled.\n\nIt comes with a plastic tamper and a nice milk frothing pitcher. \n\nIt has dual walled filter baskets to artificially create the pressure needed if you are using pre ground coffee or a grinder that doesn't grind fine enough. As long as the coffee is fresh you should get espresso that will make a good latte. \n\nIt also comes with just the standard filter baskets which is ideal for when you are grinding your own coffee beans. You get more control over the end result. \n\nSince buying this I have stopped going to coffee shops and I genuinely look forward to making my latte. I'm offering to make anyone and everyone a latte because I enjoy it so much. I've even been using the steam wand for hot chocolate.\n\nThe only danger in this purchase is remembering that moderation is key. Too much caffeine is bad. I once drank 5 double shot lattes in one day because I was having fun. Don't be me. Maybe invite people over for a coffee party.
