I’m really happy with this freezer. We replaced a standing freezer that still worked but was 15 years old and was starting to show its age. Here are some specifics I noticed about this freezer:\n•\tIt is tall at around 77” tall, it is 7” taller than a standard freezer or refrigerator. \n•\tThe interior of the freezer is vast. It can hold a large amount of food. \n•\tThere are a couple of shelves that can be adjusted but not by more than a couple of inches each. In other words, there’s not a lot of variation as to the shelf configuration. \n•\tThe door bins are not adjustable. They aren’t all that large either so, large items will not fit here.\n•\tThe unit is super quiet. I can barely notice when its running. \n•\tThe controls are right on the center of the door and are simple to use and understand. \n•\tThe unit is definitely frost free. I made sure to open the door a lot to see if I could get any build up and there was none. I’m impressed with this aspect of the freezer. \n•\tThe power consumption rating is very low for a freezer. I’m sure I will see a savings compared to my old unit it replaced. \n•\tThe lock on the side of the door is simple and it works. \n•\tI am also impressed with the seal around the door. It is made of a softer, more supple material than the simple rubber strip that many refrigerators and freezers come with (which crack over time). It seems like it seals very well and looks like it might hold up to the cracking better than rubber or vinyl. \n•\tThe interior light is not overpowering but it is bright. I also like that it’s an LED which should last much longer and use less power than a bulb. \n•\tThe delivery folks were professional, on time and had it installed in a tight spot in just a few minutes.\nOverall, I think this freezer is a good choice for anyone’s storage needs. I think it’s worth the cost as it delivers on what it promises and does so without any bells, whistles or frills. It just works.

We\u2019ve been extremely happy with the GE 14.1 cu ft upright freezer so far. The capacity is truly impressive , we were able to fit half a beef, roughly 200 pounds of meat, with room to spare, and the upright design makes organizing everything easy and accessible. Larger cuts, ground beef, and packaged items all fit comfortably without feeling crammed, and nothing gets lost at the bottom like in a chest freezer. It\u2019s been very compatible with our space and needs, fitting well in our setup and running quietly on a standard outlet with no special requirements. Temperature control has been excellent from day one, holding a consistent, solid freeze throughout the freezer and giving us confidence that our meat is being stored safely. While we haven\u2019t owned it long enough to give a measurable assessment of long-term efficiency or frost buildup, initial performance has been smooth and reliable with no issues so far. Overall, this freezer feels well-built, thoughtfully designed, and more than capable of handling serious bulk storage. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable upright freezer with substantial capacity.

Very quiet running large capacity freezer. Seals when you close it thats the reason why it takes a tug to open which is a good thing for saving energy I believe. Con: Shelving could've been spaced closer to add another shelf or more adjustable slots installed. The way its configured overloading the shelves will happen. Too much space in between shelves. Customers must add baskets to elevate the situation or the wire shelving will bend do to the weight. PROS: Very quiet compared to Frigidaire brands I purchased and returned. Digital temp outside of unit and it also lets you know the power is on. Gets up to temp quickly and alerts you to close the door if opened too long. Sizeable shelf depth, could be wider but ok. I always weigh down my uprights with bags of ice so they don't move when pulled until I fill them with food. So far no frost build-up. This is a 5 star purchase but I took 1 star away because they cut cost and didn't built it to allow another shelf to be added. Not a deal breaker. Great purchase so far!

This freezer is great for our family. We struggled with a small French door freezer, and now we're able to buy in bulk, freeze meal prep containers, and freeze extra food that would've otherwise gone bad. It's very quiet and keeps cool easily. We also love the upright shelves, so we don't have to hurt our backs bending forward or digging though piles of food. We haven't noticed a big increase on our energy bill either, so that's a bonus! The only point I'd have to take off is for the lock. Unfortunately, the lock (not seal) is slightly off center, which causes it to not lock properly. However, we don't intend to transport it or lock it up for any reason, so I don't see a need to return. I highly recommend this freezer!

We had a GE chest freezer that worked great except that it was hard to keep track of inventory as things were stacked on top of each other. Purchased this upright freezer because it had shelves and thought it would be easier to keep track of our frozen food stock. We were right it is much easier to keep track of food stuff in this freezer. Liked the fact that it is really efficient; it has glass shelfs, so stuff doesn't fall through; I don't have to bend over every time I want to get something out of the freezer; and I like the fact that it also self defrosting. We have it in the garage and it is working great. It holds the temperature, is very quiet, and seems to be one of our better purchases.

I am very pleased with all the features of my freezer. I love the on door displays, especially the temperature. I also love the bright light in the freezer, it is much brighter than my refrigerator light. One of the reasons I picked this model is because it is Garage Ready. That is the same reason I love the lock. I live in a duplex with one shared garage space. Each side has it's own garage door but there is no wall between the two sides. I live on a very busy street. The neighbors frequently leave their garage door open for several hours. They are also very nosey and have even gone through my trash and recycling.

We love the fact that this freezer has the temp controls on the outside of the door. (With previous freezers, food items would bump into the control and alter the temp, then we'd have to unload foods to get to the control itself.) We like the wire metal shelves which allow an even temp flow throughout. We like the wire metal basket that allows us to pull it out to reach foods inside. This freezer is quiet, and keeps our foods frozen rock-solid. The door compartments are nice for smaller items like cans of juice, etc. It's everything we hoped for.

Bought freezer 2 months ago for garage. Running great, plenty of room. It was the perfect size for me . The glass shelves and baskets on door are great. So are the drawers. There is about a 1” difference in freezer height bs door height . So the height measurement stated is actually for the door height. That worked out great for me since I wanted to slide part of the unit under an overhang in garage. This gave me the extra 1” I needed. Using the measurement stated it was cutting it close. Highly recommend.

We replaced a chest freezer with this GE upright freezer just a week ago, so I can comment only on how quiet and convenient it is. I like the shelf distribution (there is a little leeway for adjusting a couple of the shelves), and the fact that it is not too deep. It's easy to keep track of what is inside and the temperature is clearly shown outside the door. I was finding it impossible to get anything out of the chest freezer so things were getting lost and outdated in there. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Works great! It's so easy to organize and find all my different types of foods. Larger bags of frozen food are no longer sliding out the door, avalanching onto my feet, because the drawers keep them secure. I love the temp. controls on the door. Easy to understand and use. Door shelves are a good size to hold my butter, bacon, sausage link packs and chubs. Haven't noticed any noise when I am in my garage where it is. Looking forward to lower energy bill. Why did I wait so long to buy this? I love it.

Our 14yo Upright Frost-Free 21cuft Freezer was dying.. ice cream was mushy. I checked all the simple things (power, door gasket, etc.).. It needed replaced. I wanted a freezer that would fit in the kitchen so it would be more accessible. I am amazed at how often I go into it and am so happy that I bought a midsize so that I didn't have to put it in the garage. I have a small kitchen/breakfast area but it does not overwhelm the room. I love the clear shelves - another must feature that I absolutely had to have. Everything sits without teetering and I know what's in the drawers and door shelves. Bought this to replace a 25 yr old Kenmore that was starting to fail. Wanted reasonable space and less than 30” wide. This fit the bill with 14.1 cu ft. Has wire shelves (perfect for a freezer), door bins and a pull-out basket at the bottom. Clean look in white. Plus features that sold us on this one - high temp alarm, door open alarm, led lighting, external controls. Just installed and waiting for it to cool down so we can transfer the contents of the old one.

We bought this upright freezer, a month ago, as an addition to our regular refrigerator/freezer. We bulk cook soups, various beans, & other types of meals. We soon would run out of room in our regular freezer! We love this freezer. It's upright design makes for easy access, it's frost free, freezes quickly, has lots of storage with 4 roomy shelves & a deep basket in the main compartment, & 3 good sized bins on the inside door. I was looking at replacing a large working 45-year-old Kenmore freezer for something frost free, energy efficient as I now am the only one in the household. I definitely needed a freezer as I needed the freezer space for my items and my dogs' frozen raw dog food. This freezer fit the bill perfectly, not too large and not too small. This is a very nice freezer. It was easy to organize and sort our items. We purchase our pork and beef whole and have them processed so we have a lot of meat. I like to use clear plastic commercial food pans to organize items and these fit perfectly in this freezer. It's compact but holds a lot! I am very pleased with this freezer and would purchase it again if we were in need of an additional freezer.

We have had our first GE 14 cubic foot freezer for 18 years. It is still working, but we were afraid it might go out some time while we were traveling. So we bought a brand new GE 14.1 cubit foot freezer and gave our 18 year old one to the kids. We have only had the new one two weeks, but we love it and there is more shelf space in the new one. I wanted a freezer garage ready and one that locks and frost free and digital info on the outside of freezer. \nThis is a small upright and easily moved to different locations. When my freezer was delivered and placed in the garage I wanted to move it another foot and I did it with no trouble. It does have adjustable legs because my garage wasn't level.

Just installed it today (6/26/23). It was up and running at selected temperature within a couple of hours. Love the features such as exterior controls, door alarm and over temperature alarm. I especially love the turbo freeze feature. Great large shelves and a nice large basket. Door bins are a little shallow but usable. For us it's the perfect size freezer with great features.

This is the first garage ready freezer for us. We have had freezers in the past but not like this. Perfect fit for our location and just the right color. I love that it is an upright freezer. I used to have a box freezer, digging through to find what you need, and getting frost bites. This upright concept is so simple to organize and you can effortlessly clean it if you need to. I have different frozen categories that I can organize and find easily. Was disappointing that stores don't have this on display to see before ordering it and having it delivered to my home. I probably would not have purchased it if I new how skinny the door shelves are. I thought at least a half gallon size milk carton would fit on the shelves. I don't freeze milk, but like to freeze water in 1/2 gallon milk cartons to put in coolers. It works well, but the way it is organized is not my choice for a freezer and most of the shelves are not adjustable.

The freezer is so quiet, you can't even tell that it's plug in. The capacity is outstanding and I love the turbo freeze feature. My power bill actually went down after I purchased this freezer to replace another GE that I had which was over 20 years old. The shelves are spaced perfectly and my ice cream is kept at the perfect temperature.
