I do love the fact that this is a compact upright freezer and that there are several shelves. Problems include %231 while removing the freezer from the box it arrived in we kept getting shocked every time we touched the freezer. Come to find out there were metal brackets attached to the back corners of the unit and once we removed those metal brackets we stopped getting shocked. Weird. %232 Also after removing the metal corner brackets we saw a large dent in the left rear corner that the metal brackets were obscuring. %233 I love the shelves but they are not adjustable. This is not a major issue to me but it might be for someone else. %234 the freezer is pretty light weight and the door seal is pretty tight therefore when you open the door you must brace the main body of the freezer to keep the unit from wobbling or tipping. I checked the level front to back and side to side and everything is level so I think it's simply because the freezer is light weight. I thought that maybe once I filled it with frozen food that they would provide enough weight to prevent this but it did not. I have purchased items that I'm hoping will secure the unit to the wall but am still waiting for them to arrive. Overall, it seems to be a nice little garage ready freezer to use for overflow from my refrigerator freezer.

Let's start with the measurements, the freezer is exactly 55.5 inches Tall x 21.5 inches Wide x 21.5 inches In Depth.\r\nThe shelves inside the Freezer Wire Racks/Shelves Measure 16 inches Wide x 14 Inches Deep x 7 inches Tall.\r\nThe very bottom area looks like it can fit something but very small though, it is 16 inches Wide x 7 inches Deep x 9 inches Tall.\r\n\r\nFrom what I was able to notice, the freezer shelves are NOT adjustable and also because of the freezer tubes underneath each wire rack, it also looks like its NOT removable either. It did create a layer of some ice on the wire racks withing 5 days of having it but there is a small Scraping Spatula included to scrape off the ice. I would recommend using a peace of a medium plastic lid or Cardboard just to use to catch the ice as you scrape it off. I had the cooling temp set to Number 2 out of 3 as number 1 did great but the more food you put in the freezer to harder it becomes for it to keep it frozen. I found cooling temp number 2 to be ideal for all the racks being used with food to keep frozen. \r\n\r\nWhen you first start up the freezer you need to let it cool its self for about 2 to 3 hours. I did 2.5 hours and loaded my frozen foods in it like hot pockets, ice cream and hamburgers etc. I filled up the racks. By my surprise it was able to keep the food frozen at setting number 2 with zero issues.\r\n\r\nNow as for the freezer getting hot from the sides, yes when you first start it up it will get pretty hot and thats because it's working very hard to cool down the freezer to the temp settings you chose. Once it cools to desired temp it will no longer stay hot.\r\n\r\nThings I like about the freezer are: it keeps the food frozen with no effort at setting 2.\r\nIts small but big enough to put a decent amount of food in it.\r\nIt is very light weight and has wheels on the bottom that make it easy to move around to a different location.\r\nIt supplies Cooled air as soon as you close the freezer door after opening it to bring the freezer back up to normal cold temperatures.\r\n\r\nThings I Don't like about the freezer: the wire racks are NOT adjustable or removable so cleaning the ice out of it is a bit challenging, i would also recommend disconnecting the freezer when you do this so that the freezer does NOT stay on and possibly break from it trying to maintain operating temps while the door is open. It does make a loud noise every now and then and to make the noise stop I simply move the freezer a bit or nudge it and the noise stops but continues to freeze the food.\r\n\r\nOverall I really like the freezer and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs an extra freezer with out loosing so much space in their kitchen which is where I have the freezer or in a basement etc.\r\n\r\nThings you get with the freezer: a Manual, A Quick Guide, a Small Ice Cube Tray, 2 Small keys to change the temp on the freezer and a small ice scraper.

I would first like to start by saying I would've given this review 5 stars if it didn't take so long for the freezer to get here. I ordered this freezer over a week ago. I snagged a great deal on it, it was a steal. It was supposed to be here two days after placing an order. However, although it said it shipped, FedEx never received the package. I reached out to customer service and was told that there was a high volume of orders at the fulfillment center and to reach out if it didn't get here by the 3rd. 3rd came around and tracking still said shipping info sent to carrier. Which mean they still didn't receive it. So I had them order a replacement. It got here on the 5th. \n\nNow for the good news. It is absolutely flawless. No dents, scratches, or dings. It hold a good amount of food and gets cold very quickly. I recommend this freezer, but don't be in a rush to get it. It might take a while to get here

I'm pretty sure this standing freezer is actually larger than the freezer on my side by side fridge. There's space to spare and the shelves are adjustable. It took 2 days to get completely cold inside and once it did I transferred a few things from my main freezer and it stayed frozen so we're good to go. Something to consider is the overall size and the space you'll need. It's almost 4 feet tall and about 22 inches wide and deep.. plus you gotta have 4 inches of space from the back and both sides to allow ventilation, plus another 12 inches at least from the very top. I did not consider that 4 inch gap of the space I'd prepared for it was not going to work so it got a new space lol. It looks good and keeps our frozen goods frozen so I'm happy. Adjusting the temperature is easy and easily accessible right on top at the front of the freezer. The door is reversible too, it comes installed on the right and instructions are included for how to switch to the left. The only thing I'm not a fan of is it's not auto defrosting so I'm not looking forward to that chore when it's time. Photos attached (in it's temporary space while I cleared the new space)

I bought it for it's size. The shelves are not adjustable, so it will limit the space for somethings, but I couldn't fit a bigger freezer in the same space so it's a trade-off. I would have given it more stars except it has A LOT of dings in it. I special ordered it to pick up at my local store. I couldn't unbox it for several days because I didn't have help to unload it from my truck. They wanted $80 to deliver it and I don't think that included installing it, just dropping it off. This freezer is in garage and works great but... I didn't realize we'd had a power outage. The meat went bad and leaked in freezer. That's when I paid attention to the fact that the shelves were not removable. The shelves are part of the cooling network and are a double-sided grid which made it VERY difficult to clean. Had to use a garden hose to rinse out, a brush and a long screwdriver to feed the rag into ALL the hard to reach areas. I think I'll be selling this freezer.

It arrived dented in several places. The door wasn’t attached very well, also the bracket that holds the door in place was severely bent. So did have to straighten the brackets and adjust so the door could be re-attached. It’s a very flimsy little freezer. Expect to have to do some adjustments when you unpack it. It seems to be cooling well. After buying it for myself I can’t say I’d encourage anyone else to purchase this model.

after reading all of the reviews i was convinced to buy this product but now that i have been using it there is a lot of frost build up on the top coils and it ends up building up so much that its hard to get the freezer to close all the way to get a good seal. I'm not sure if i will recomending it to anyone. This picture is after hitting off most of the build-up, but you can see where the build-up starts.

I would highly recommend this upright, standalone, 6.5 cubic feet Frigidaire Freezer to others who need an additional freezer, to supplement their freezer space, lacking in their regular refrigerator/freezer.\r\n\r\nI have been wanting to get an extra freezer for a long time, but I thought it might consume too much energy to have two freezers in the home. Once I checked into it further, I was very impressed with the energy efficiency specifications for this freezer. The estimated yearly energy cost is listed as $36. There are 3 levels on this freezer, so you have some flexibility there and I anticipate that could determine the actual outcome of energy consumption.\r\n\r\nWe also didn't have a lot of space for a large size freezer, but surprisingly this freezer can fit quite a bit, without taking up a lot of space. Its size is 21.5” W x 22.4” D x 55.4” H, which is the perfect size to fit in our laundry room, next to our kitchen.\r\n\r\nSomething else I really like about this freezer is that it has a stainless-steel finish that doesn't get visible fingerprints all over it. I can touch all I want, and I don't see fingerprints. Score!!!\r\n\r\nOne thing I would highly recommend regarding this freezer, is to make sure you do not tilt the freezer more than a 45-degree angle from its upright position, as recommended not to do in the user manual. I did not know this and laid the freezer down to get it out of the box, instead of lifting the box straight up and off of this upright unit. Thankfully, I did not do any damage to the freezer or its mechanics, but thought it was worth mentioning. \r\n\r\nAlso, after I connected the freezer to the electricity, as it was cooling inside, the exterior sides of the freezer felt very hot. Not to worry though, as the user manual explains that this is normal. Once the freezer is done cooling to your desired setting, the sides of the freezer will no longer be hot. This only occurred as it was doing its cooling from its initial room temperature.\r\n \r\nThis freezer does its job well and it is quiet. That's why I would recommend this freezer unit to anyone who needs a dedicated freezer.

I am a Walmart Sparks reviewer and received the Frigidaire 6.5 cubic feet upright freezer for free to review. Year after year, Frigidaire brand appliances have ranked amongst the top 5 and I must say it is a trusted brand and this freezer does not disappoint. The Frigidaire upright freezer does not take up very much room and is sitting in my garage next to my shoe cabinet. It is narrow and not too tall and fits quite well in a 2ft x 2ft area with some wiggle room in each direction for ventilation. There are six levels with five removeable wire shelves. You cannot adjust the height of the shelves, but you can remove a shelve and double that level's height like for a big turkey. There are three settings on the thermostat for how cold you want the freezer to be and it is located on the top upper corner of the outside of the freezer. When the freezer door closes, there is an expected hissing sound and the door is then very hard to reopen temporarily. I am guessing it's creating a pressure vacuum of sorts inside the fridge for better insolation and temperature maintenance.\r\n\r\nThis freezer is energy efficient. It will cost $36 per year to run and uses about 304 kwh per year. Though I have not had to clean or defrost this freezer, but because it is upright, it is easier to clean and defrost than a chest freezer. It is also space saving than a chest freezer and food is more organized and easier to see and remove in an upright freezer. \r\n\r\nWith 6.5 cubic feet of storage, I am able to decongest my freezer in the kitchen to make room for my weekly pre-made meals or to save leftovers for later. And since I tend to stockpile when certain food items like meats and frozen vegetables are on sale, having this freezer, that gives me so much storage, has been very useful. I can even stockpile ice cream, pizzas, and frozen pastry items now. This will save me trips to the grocery store, especially during this time of Covid-19, and in the long run, will surely also save me money. My mind is jogging with ideas on how I can maximize the utilization of this freezer at this very moment.

I have this Frigidaire vertical freezer working more than a week already, and so far it has performed great. I installed it in the garage and is an excellent complement to my refrigerator inside the kitchen. Is spacious and the shelves are if great help to have the food organized. The door is very hermetic. My electricity bill is not showing any relevant impact. The only negative comment about this freezer is that it does not have a cover plate to protect the compressor and other components in the rear side. I contacted the manufacturer who explained that the design doesn't consider a cover plate for that side.

Unboxed it and plugged it in before giving it a good look over. FedEx was not gentle. Door joint was broken so the door was hanging on by only the bottom, multiple dents on every side. It still worked, and felt like it was cooling quickly. But once I noticed the damage, we unplugged it and promptly took at back to Walmart

Like other comments I’ve read, it arrived with several scratches and a large dent on the right along the corner. You get what you pay for. I did not return due to the headaches of waiting for another one and the fact that where it is placed people can see the cosmetic scratches. I purchased this for a family member.

Outside packaging was flawless. Inside I found a thumb sized dent right in the front of the door. Reading other reviews, it's not worth returning and partial credit won't be given . Thankfully, I got this on sale or I would have returned. Works fine- makes a few noises but nothing too concerning.

Like many of the reviewers have already posted, our freezer came with damage. Ours had a fair size dent at the front of the fridge (about 8 inches long) and a couple of small dents in the back. It plugged in and it is working great. We bought this on a great sale and it was going in a laundry room so we decided to keep it. Called Walmart.com and they worked with us with additional discount on pricing due to the damage. For us, it was not worth trying to get another one and risk getting another one that could be even more damaged.

I purchased an upright freezer for convenance as I have a chest freezer and was tired of digging through it to find what I needed. A few details: the shelves are NOT adjustable, the door hinge can NOT be adjusted to the other side %26 this does NOT hold a large capacity maybe up to a family of 3. Other than that the freezer works well, with the help of my skills I learned from Tetris lol I was able to transfer all my frozen goods from my original deep freezer which was full, within 2 hours of plugging the new freezer in.

we purchased this freezer about a year and a half ago and have only had to defrost it three times. I see people complaining about the frost buildup, but it clearly says in the description it's manual defrost. I believe it even said it on the box. The only drawback to this freezer that we encountered was that the shelves are not removable, and you would struggle to fit a turkey over 20 lbs. Other than that it does the job and we are satisfied, especially at the price we paid for it.

Have had the freezer for a month or so, we bought it in store. I had a chest freezer in the basement but wanted an upright one I could keep upstairs that wasn't an eyesore. We brought it home, plugged it in, turned the dial up and was able to load it the same day. The freezer shelves freeze individually which is a plus, It feels more organized and can load and organize shelves by items and not have to shuffle through to get to the bottom like the chest freezer. So far, so good.

It's doing what's needed and at a good price. The only drawback is the manual defrosting. I've had it for several months now and haven't had to defrost it yet. Seems like the less I go inside, the less frost develops; I also always make sure the door closes well. I was wishing Frigidaire .ade one that's frost free. Oh well, this one was at a really good price and it looks nice.

The freezer is nice looking and has good capacity . The 3 cold settings will keep the temp well below zero. The downside; the shelves are not adjustable so don't plan on freezing or storing a 20 lb. turkey as the shelves give you approx. 7" in height. It is very light and if not full it's tippy when you open the door.

Decided to buy this upright instead of another chest freezer. The upright makes it easier to organize your frozens. Had some trouble leveling the freezer so it didn't wobble. This freezer has a very strong seal which is great except it is so good we have trouble opening the door without it moving the whole thing!

An attractive appliance. I chose to put it in my breakfast nook rather than the garage where my old chest freezer was located. I was disappointed with the delivery. You might want to tell your employees that UPS does NOT "happy" to help you in the door with your orders. There was a dent in the back of the fridge , which I reported to Melinda and she said a supervisor would get back to me. Never heard a word back.
