The chest of drawers was okay but it was slightly damaged either from shipment or it appeared it had sat in the box for quite a while. It looked as if it had gotten wet at one point. There was black mildew in the bottom of the box and a white powder on the bottom half of the chest of drawers. It is a nice looking chest of drawers and that is why I purchased it in the first place. The drawers don't open out as far as I would like. The quality of how it was made was average. I chose not to return it because it would be more headache than it was worth. It was already assembled which was nice but it took a little time to clean the white powdery substance off. I can touch up the four places that were damaged. It was a disappointment that it was not in tip top condition which you would expect with something being new. The price was reduced but it didn't say it was reduced because of any issues. If I had known it would have these issues, I probably would not have bought it. If it had not been reduced, I probably would have returned it even with it being a headache to do so.
