I bought this scanner for my home office. The setup was very easy. I am not sure why other persons are reporting installation issues. HP even provided the usb cord unlike other brands. Once you go to the HP website and download driver and HP scan software you're all set. You can even setup a daily preset in the HP scan software and with a press of a button on the scanner you can automatically start scanning without even launching the software. Pretty neat!

The build quality of the Pro 2000 scanner is pretty good, the visual quality of scanned images and text is very accurate and are never misaligned. After previously holding onto an old Konica Minolta copier for scanning, I'm very happy I donated the copier and replaced it with the Pro 2000. I should have made the change long ago.

The hardware is great, similar of what to expect from other leading brand high speed bulk scanner units. The software experience is awful. By default, the scanning button does nothing. The scanning tool is far from straight forward of how to configure the scanner button to work, the windows scanner configuration panel doesn't quite do the job either. When you DO manage to get the scanner button to work, it takes a good 10+ seconds to respond and begin scanning even on a decent recent spec computer. I am not impressed at all. The poor software experience makes it a deal breaker and it will be returned.

Easy to set up and use.Scans a lot of different sized sheets. Just put them in the feed tray, adjust the guides to fit, click on the scan button, and they zip right through.
