I wanted a freezer that wasn't a chest, but wasn't as big as a frig; this one is a great size. It's only 5.0 cu.ft., so it's about the same capacity as a freezer above the frig like most of us had growing up. The side door, as opposed to a chest, is easy to access. DO NOT PAY TO HAVE THIS DELIVERED. \nI was home on the day this was delivered. My house was being reroofed and there was also a crew of guys installing my new gutters. There were 10 people outside/on my house; and I was inside. The Home Depot delivery guy LEFT THE FREEZER IN THE DRIVEWAY BEHIND A CONSTRUCTION VEHICLE. No one came to the door or spoke to any of the workers; 'just blocked a vehicle in my drive with a freezer. I paid the workers to bring it inside. THIS IS ON TOP OF WHAT I PAID HOME DEPOT TO DELIVER IT. I didn't plug it in for 24hours. I didn't know if it had been inverted. \nI'm a widow in my 60's, there is no way I could have lifted this up my porch steps. I don't even own a dolly. Thank goodness there were a plethora of construction workers present.

Updated as of August 9, 2022: I am currently experiencing a significant seal problem with this freezer. I am finding a large amount of build-up that requires weekly removal and black mold on the upper seal, indicating a poor seal. Consequently, I am downgrading my rating from four stars to one star. I had ordered this product on May 25th, just a short two and a half months ago, making this situation concerning. Despite this issue, the freezer is holding up well in terms of size and is on my back porch where I keep overflow items. I have stocked up on meat, French toast sticks, pancakes, and other frozen foods. My only complaint is the considerable ice build-up that has accumulated in the freezer, which was unexpected. However, overall, it is still functioning efficiently and working well.More

This is a good quiet freezer. It had to be delivered to the store for pickup (twice since the first one had compressor issues but returned next day without any problems).\r\n\r\nIt's nice and quiet and achieves < 0 F temperatures with no problem! The shelves and upright door are what make it much better for us over a chest freezer (it also occupies a much smaller footprint).\r\n\r\nI just installed it yesterday and I'll be sure to update the review if there are any unforeseen problems down the road!

Whole sales and delivery experience was great. Didn't expect but Lowe's delivery put in place, unwrapped and applied power. Started cooling quickly and only job was to load and monitor inside temp. After reading the reviews, I anticipated numerous dents and dings. However, it functions impeccably at the minimum temperature. In case your freezer freezes up, tweaking the temperature is advised. It fulfills its purpose as expected. I am content with my acquisition. Update: Having owned it for a few months, I can confirm that it is worth the investment provided one is willing to overlook potential superficial damages. It works well but it is very lightweight. Not necessarily a bad thing but it make sit necessary to use 2 hands to open the door. One to hold the freezer in place and the other to pul the door open. Because otherwise when you pull the door the whole freezer moves forward. I wish the door had a handle not just scoop out to grab from the top front. It has plenty of room for all your freezer needs. lots of shelves. And it keeps everything well frozen so far.

I’ve been looking for a black upright freezer for a while that wasn’t to big, I really wanted 7 cubic feet but settled for this 6 cubic feet model. It’s a nice upright freezer, I like that it has 5 shelves, and seems to have a good seal around the door and so far no signs of frost build up which is a definite plus. I have only had for a few weeks so I can only say that so far I ready like it and that it works well!

Although the box had no noticeable markings, a dent was discovered on the door side of the freezer. The matter was taken up with customer service and a satisfactory resolution was reached. Surprisingly, the freezer appears capable of holding more items than suggested by its photographs. As of now, the product seems to be performing well.
