Just as pictured and described. (When considering the height for storage capacity, the bottom two inches' ish are a ledge the unit sits on). Very nicely designed and the look is perfect for the beach bungalow or small craftsman feel we are trying to create. This product is not real wood of course so, I would not recommend this piece to be placed in a young child's space as this means it's not the most durable or sturdiest thing and, while pretty, won't necessarily "stand up to a beating". It will, however, serve it's purpose just fine in my home which is to create an entryway look and store our collection of DVD's and books. For reference our home is about 1600 sq ft and two of these will be terrifically proportioned in our front room. My husband assembled mostly by himself. I helped balance a shelf once and turn the piece over to add backing. ( speaking of backing, we lined our with floral stick-on paper. Beautiful touch!) It took about an hour and a half. Doors were a little struggle and we had to drill new holes for the door handles we also updated. One of ours did come in damaged packaging but no damage to the cabinet other than a slight blemish to one of the shelves that we could clearly see was from before packaging.
