We\u2019ve been extremely happy with the GE 14.1 cu ft upright freezer so far. The capacity is truly impressive , we were able to fit half a beef, roughly 200 pounds of meat, with room to spare, and the upright design makes organizing everything easy and accessible. Larger cuts, ground beef, and packaged items all fit comfortably without feeling crammed, and nothing gets lost at the bottom like in a chest freezer. It\u2019s been very compatible with our space and needs, fitting well in our setup and running quietly on a standard outlet with no special requirements. Temperature control has been excellent from day one, holding a consistent, solid freeze throughout the freezer and giving us confidence that our meat is being stored safely. While we haven\u2019t owned it long enough to give a measurable assessment of long-term efficiency or frost buildup, initial performance has been smooth and reliable with no issues so far. Overall, this freezer feels well-built, thoughtfully designed, and more than capable of handling serious bulk storage. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable upright freezer with substantial capacity.

Very quiet running large capacity freezer. Seals when you close it thats the reason why it takes a tug to open which is a good thing for saving energy I believe. Con: Shelving could've been spaced closer to add another shelf or more adjustable slots installed. The way its configured overloading the shelves will happen. Too much space in between shelves. Customers must add baskets to elevate the situation or the wire shelving will bend do to the weight. PROS: Very quiet compared to Frigidaire brands I purchased and returned. Digital temp outside of unit and it also lets you know the power is on. Gets up to temp quickly and alerts you to close the door if opened too long. Sizeable shelf depth, could be wider but ok. I always weigh down my uprights with bags of ice so they don't move when pulled until I fill them with food. So far no frost build-up. This is a 5 star purchase but I took 1 star away because they cut cost and didn't built it to allow another shelf to be added. Not a deal breaker. Great purchase so far!

Love the storage capacity of my 21CF freezer. I like how the top 3 tiers are arranged and the size / depth of the in-door compartments. I also liked the small drawer feature in the middle so that little items can be frozen and not lost in a bigger shelf or drawer. I think I would much rather of had a single wire basket for the bottom tier rather than 2 plastic bins, but so far it has been very usable. I found that it only took about 4 hours for the unit to cool down to proper freezer temp after it was delivered. I had three garage freezers before, and they died because they were not designed for the garage. This one understands the assignment. It can get hot in my garage and it works anyway. My other models died after 1-2 years. I pack this with discounted bulk buy meat from a central CA market I found. I wrap them in smaller meal sizes and store it for gradual use. I don't know how people with families manage without a freezer stuffed with meat and some quick-frozen meals for those lazy nights. An absolute necessity!

Because my GE Freezer took a long time to receive because of supply and demand issues, I was really happy I made the decision to purchase this appliance.\r\n\r\nThe Freezer has plenty of space and options for storage. Now, I can take advantage of store sales and specials to be able to stock up on my favorite foods. It is a much lower energy rating and cost than the previous one. It barely makes any noise at all. The shelving is the same and holds everything we need. And the temp set quick. I also like the quick freeze option as well as the thermostat on the door. It has keys to lock it which will make sure the door doesn't get left open by accident.

This is a replacement for the very same freezer that only lasted 2 years after I purchased it. Thank goodness i had the presence of mind to pourchase an extra warranty insurance on it! \nThis newer one looks the same as the first one that I had. However, the door is extremely difficult to open. The suction that it has is far too much and sometimes I just can't seen to get it open. \nThe capacity is good, but it could use more shelves. I like fact that the shelves are glass and not metal. It is frost free, so you don't need to defrost it. So far, it is keeping the temp at -6 degrees F. So it is doing a good job there. It is very quiet which is nice as well. I like the fact that it has drawers on the bottom and one on the top shelf, and the lighting is good in it as well. I did purchase an additional warranty on this one as well, given the fact that the GE appliances don't last very long.

This upright freezer is roomy with the right amount of drawer space and shelves to keep things organized. There's an alarm feature if the door isn't closed properly or kept open too long. The seal on the door is very tight. It's in our garage and hot summers make this important! Also the interior temperature is displayed on the front of the door which is lockable for security. \nThis is my dream freezer, after years of chest freezers where I felt like a dumpster diver. I'm thrilled.

We really like this freezer so far. Been about a month. Temperature outside on door says 0 but I got 3 Temperature gauges inside showing 3 to 5 degrees colder. The seal on the door looks very thin, but it creates a strong seal cause it takes some effort to open. Good bright light inside too. Really quiet. Wish I can clean the condenser coils but they are inexcessable to humans buried in the sides of the freezer. We'll see if any problems occur. Just had it for about a month.

I love my new freezer. The capacity really fits my needs. I had a much smaller one for years and was always wishing that I had more space. The glass shelving is great and the space in the door has room for lots of single items that would use up a lot of shelve space. This GE freezer looks great and even though it is large it doesn't take up much more space in my garage than my smaller one did. I recommend GE and this freezer to anyone shopping for a new freezer.

We find the temperature control to be very consistent, now that we use a thermometer with a wireless sensor. We had real issues when we first used this freezer but apparently the very small lead to a digital thermometer sensor was enough to cause large temperature swings. The freezer is working well, is a great size for us, and I like the interior lighting. I do miss the soft freeze door shelf in our old freezer which was great for ice cream.

Although it has only been 3 weeks I am very pleased with it. I spent 4 months with another brand freezer that would not keep temperature. The first one didn't even get cold. The second one the door seal would not seal. Frost was building up on a frost free unit We had to duck tape the door shut in order not to loose anything. My GE freezer is keeping a good temperature range of 1 degree to minus 3 and defrosting on a regular schedule of every 24 hours. So going forward I hope this continues.

Freezer is large and well partitioned. Easy access to items. I like the arrangement of the drawers. I like having the temperature gauge on the outside and warning of warm temperature and open door. The young men who delivered it did an excellent job. They couldn't get their large truck up our narrow driveway, so they loaded it onto a dolly and pushed it up our long rather steep driveway in very hot weather without complaining.

I do wish it had locking wheels, because upright freezers have doors that are hard to open, on purpose, which makes sense. But on a slick concrete floor it's all too easy to pull the freezer away from the wall when opening the door.

That was before the days of "garage ready" freezers.\n\nEven in the high (90+) temperatures we've had lately this freezers temperature has maintained 0 degrees.\n\nThe only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is the lower storage drawers. Our old freezer had one the full width of the freezer. This has 2 separate ones which slightly lowers the total capacity. A small prize to pay for a great freezer.

We just love our new freezer. It's large and has great features such as frost free, garage operations, audible alarming and 2 day power outage insulation. It can operate from 0 - 110F which this freezer will experience since it is located in Northern NY. It's frost free which I'm finding makes it difficult to re-open shortly after closing because it seems to be pulling a vacuum likely to remove any moisture in the air.

These are much bigger than I was expecting, which is good! We got 2 and they both looked like they were in great shape upon arrival. After unboxing, setting up etc I was taking off all the tape and foam they use on the inside to keep the shelves in place and both are cracked at the very bottom. I don’t think it will cause any issues but we will be using epoxy or something to fix that up. Other than that super happy with our purchase and delivery!

Nearly accommodated all goods stored in a 2 cubic foot smaller chest freezer. Takes less floor space than chest freezer. Door magnet seal is strong...takes 2 hands to open the door. Question: why wait some seconds to reopen the door? Frost free is great. Temp control/ display nice looking...have not used it yet. Seems to be working great so far after a few weeks - seals great after closing door and holds a cold temperature that is indicated on the outside of the door - instead of having to open it to check. The Freezer is very light and after putting some food inside, the door opened easier as the seal would move the freezer when I tried to open it. I like this as it means no cold air escapes!

This freezer is huge. I love that it is frost-free. I have had other freezers that build up so much ice that you lose space. Got up to 125°F this year, and still, everything was frozen. If the kids leave the door ajar, there will be a warning chime to alert you. It's a soft chime, so keep an ear out. Highly recommend.
