I own the planer3 with exact cartridge on I may keep the planet 1 it's that good as the tone and price for new cartridge is excellent.yes not same sound as planer 3 ;however I feel it has more than delivered for the price on base,treble and midrange.not maybee as good for classical but still solid .can't recommend enough.try the eco one if you really want to save and invest in a good amplifier and speakers and cable to enhance even more.well done Rega!
