The Sony αZV-E10 (Model: ILCZVE10L/B) is custom tailored for vlogging, both in its controls and software, but it is also an extremely impressive still camera and is an outstanding piece of equipment, overall. The Sony αZV-E10 offers a stellar array of features and functionality and excellent specifications. This mirrorless, interchangeable lens, APS-C sensor camera is terrific. It is a robust and flexible camera with outstanding hardware and excellent interchangeable lenses. The αZV-E10 is compact in size and light in weight, making it easy and convenient to carry and use. The Sony αZV-E10 vlog camera takes the best features and functionality of the Sony ZV-1 fixed lens, 20 megapixel vlog camera and incorporates them with the backbone of the Sony α6100 interchangeable lens, 24.2 megapixel camera. This new hybridized model is refined and customized with additional, specialized features for vlogging, delivering much of the best of both models. The αZV-E10 sensor is a 24.2 megapixel, APS-C, Exmor CMOS sensor measuring 23.5 x 15.6 mm (not full frame). The αZV-E10 has powerful and outstanding Auto-Focus and Auto-Exposure functionality and offers vloggers and photographers complete exposure control with more than a dozen exposure modes, five focus modes, thirteen picture effect modes and seven creative style modes. The αZV-E10 has an incredible array of digital imaging capabilities. The Auto-Focus system is fantastic; possibly the best available. With 425 auto-focus points, real-time eye AF (human and animal) and real-time tracking that genuinely performs as described and as expected, it truly excels, and exceeds most other cameras. Exposure control with the 1200 zone evaluative metering system which operates in center-weighted, spot metering and full-screen modes is absolutely outstanding. The αZV-E10 has Sony’s advanced image processor, the Bionz X, which is the underpinning of the excellent image rendition, with accurate color rendition, including skin tones. The αZV-E10 image formats range through 14 bit (compressed) RAW providing for excellent post-production editing capability. The αZV-E10 shoots video at resolutions of up to 4k (oversampled from 6k), and offers a wide range of frame rates (allowing for a variety of slow or fast motion shooting), image sizes and compression schemes. Video functions also include multiple cinema profiles including HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and S-Log3/2. The αZV-E10 includes a dedicated Still/Movie/S&Q button to shoot 4x slow motion video, or 60x quick motion. The αZV-E10 also features a dedicated top panel button to control background blurring. This button instantly toggles between a clearly focused background, and a defocused, blurred background (bokeh effect). A unique new “Product Showcase” feature has been added for vloggers. One button depression toggles the feature which instantly shifts focus from the vloggers face to whatever object (product) is extended directly in front of the camera for close-up. Occasionally, this feature required a few attempts before it would shift focus to relatively small items. Audio quality from the three capsule directional microphone on the top panel is excellent. Sony thoughtfully includes a “dead cat” (synthetic fur) wind screen which is helpful when shooting outdoors. The Multi-Interface Hot Shoe supports digital audio with external microphones, as well as flash units. There is also a 3.5mm input jack for an external microphone, and another 3.5mm output jack for headphones to monitor audio recording. The mike jack is behind a plastic door which candidly appears very delicate and feels as if it will break off quite easily. I miss the built-in flash of the α6100. For still photography flash is essential in low-light conditions, but it is also extremely important in marginal light conditions and shadows where having fill-in flash is invaluable. The αZV-E10 is equipped with an articulating 3” TFT, LCD touchscreen which rotates from the left of the camera body. While it is essential for vlogging, it is also valuable for low-angle shots and high-angle shots. The αZV-E10 also supports shooting video in vertical orientation. In addition to the red tally light on the camera body, the touchscreen illuminates a highly visible red border when recording, which is perfect for vlogging. The only performance deficiency that I encountered was that of minor rolling shutter effects, particularly during fast pans in 4k, which is common with CMOS sensor cameras. Touchscreen functionality is still limited and is not available for the multilayer menus. The αZV-E10 lacks the electronic viewfinder that I enjoy on the α6100. Although a viewfinder may not be considered a necessity for vlogging, it is extremely useful in both still photography and some videography, particularly when using long lenses. Forget all the reviews on Youtube proclaiming a lack of sharpness - I am never sure if they are shooting JPEG or RAW. With JPEG the camera has a say in sharpness which may be where the complaint could be. I shoot only RAW - one always has to add sharpness - the nature of the beast - and with the a6400 camera at 24 meg images I am truly impressed with this lens. \n My only complaint is the build quality but I got used to the manual zoom operation I prefer to use. Some care is needed as it feels fragile. But for the results I get will be sure to treat it carefully. \n My Canon lenses are far more solid in use on a DSLR with my favorite lens - 24-105. But I wanted a camera to carry all the time and I am pleased with the Sony a6400 for the past months to fill this need - 1lb ? against 4.5 lbs for the Canon. It, the Sony, has been serving me well and fits in a small bag to take everywhere. \n Since the tariffs went into effect and the prices of all name brand lenses have gone through the roof to find a lens of this quality at this price is far better than $1200-1400 For Sony's next level 16-50mm. I may trade up at some point but for now I am pleased.

The ZV E10 is a fanstastic camera for you to start off with. Whether you are getting ready to start a career in photography, video or using it as a tool to start a new hobby, this is an excellent camera. First, the body is extremely light but feels well built. It comes with a surprisingly decent microphone, which allows you to start vlogging if you were interested in starting a youtube, and saves you from additional equipment. Paired with the excellent Sigma 16mm F1.4, it gives you a wide-angle lens with decent low-light ability. It also comes with a fully articulating, or flip-out, display which makes it easy to frame yourself while recording or taking pictures. It also makes it easier to use by limiting the buttons you have down to easy to use options. For beginners, you have a button that will take you between photography, video, and the automatic modes. And it also offers a "defocus" button that will prioritize aperture to keep your background nice and blurry. Overall, I can confidently recommend this as a starting camera for all the features and ease of use.

I primarily shoot social media videos and wanted something video focused (I use a7iii) for photos. This camera is EXCELLENT. 10 bit 4:2:2 4k. Stunning low light capabilities, full frame, outstanding autofocus. I am actually using a lot of APSC lenses with the dynamic active stabilisation which crops out the vignetting. The quality of colours are exactly what you would expect straight out of camera. Dynamic active stabilisation is almost gimbal like and I really have not used my gimbal much. This camera is a winner and able to cope with even my professional work. Now just need a super wide (affordable) FE lens. \r\n\r\nI have had no overheating issues at all. I film in short bursts of max 10-15minutes. 120p capable with update. Excellent battery life. The new AI chip is outstanding for autofocus. The list goes on and on. \r\n\r\nI prefer touch screen for my settings and can use the single wheel on multiple settings by touching (e.g. switching between iso, aperture, shutter).

So, let's get the negative out of the way - it WILL overheat in hot weather at 4K60... This can be mitigated to some extent with an aftermarket fan, but it's still gonna overheat at some point. If you're shooting outside in the summer heat - this may not be for you.\nI primarily shoot real estate or in shorter clips, so this isn't an issue (usually).\nThe upshot - incredible dynamic range in Slog3. My stills cam is an A7iii and the range on this zv-e1 makes it look archaic. I've even used some image grabs from the zv-e1 that worked better that what I got out of a single exposure from the A7iii. I can shoot a house that's backlit by the sun and get very usable exposure across the frame -crazy. Inside, I can shoot in any lighting with the dual native iso at 12800 and get a bright room AND still preserve detail out of the windows.\nPlus, dynamic stabilization, amazing autofocus, and breathing comp - yay! - the 20mm becomes a great video lens!\n\nAmazing at this price.

I'm very happy with this camera. The footage is excellent and it's a great step up from my smartphone in being able to produce content in the exact way I'd like. \n\n\nOverall, the Sony ecosystem for lenses and accessories is excellent, so I was able to pick up used / third party lenses for this camera at great prices. \n\nI like how light and compact this camera is. It's so tiny I can easily fit it into my pocket with the kit lens. Even with a cage and stuff attached it's not very big. \n\n\nThe only improvement I'd like to see is more options for USB / wifi streaming. It's a vlogger focused camera, this should be basically the highest priority in the design of this camera - and it's fine, but not *amazing*. The app (sony creators) has some limited functionality in offloading video to your smartphone, but I'd like to see it become more reliable and easy to use.

The camera is nice and compact and very handy, it fits well in the hand and is not too heavy. The video quality in 4K is really great. However, I have to say that I will be replacing the original lens with a better one. There is still a lot of room for improvement with the original lens. Hence my recommendation to buy a different lens. The swivelling display is also great because you can see yourself when taking pictures. The camera bag supplied is very practical and the camera can be transported easily and safely. I hike a lot and was seriously upgrading my photography gear from small portable camera/iphone to a camera. It ended being a a6700. Lens panoplia in the market was so vast I just decided to go for the kit lens and find out what lens to buy in the future. After 3 months shooting with it I can now start to understand what will be my lens for portraits, my lens for telephoto and my lens for wider landscape shooting/ astrophoto, and even to substitute the kit lens. But not yet, I am still keeping this one for now and keep training for some more months. It has quality and great portability.

This little kit lens sometimes doesn’t get a lot of love, however for its size it is a beast - and in most situations at does a pretty good job. It is my go to lens for skiiing, climbing and canyoneering where size (and cost) can be a problem. Light, small and cheap enough to bring into any situation without any worries - and you will most likely get some great shots from it. This is not a fast lens, so obviously it does not excel in low light situations. Th at said, I have gotten great shots deep in some dark canyons.

Sony marketed this camera to be used for video and vlogging, but I've been using it for photography, which it is excellent at! Coming from an a6300, the ZV-E10 has no viewfinder, which I don't find myself missing all that much (never was used to using the viewfinder with the a6300). Compared to the a6300, the swivel touchscreen, simplified button layout, and improved performance (color science, autofocus, eye tracking) make the ZV-E10 a huge upgrade! (While being even more compact and light!)

Awesome first little camera. I was torn between getting this guy and the Canon M50 MkII, but after careful consideration I decided to go with the Sony ZV-E10. Battery life works great on this thing, even when recording in 4K 30FPS, but I would still always suggest getting a battery plate and picking up a few Sony NPF batteries if you're planning to make long vlogs with this camera and don't anticipate having easy access to wall sockets. Great thing is that you can also use a hefty power bank as well since it also charges through USB C. If you're torn between the Sony ZV1 and the Sony ZV-E10, I'd strongly suggest putting down the extra $50 in order to get the interchangeable lenses, since it's more than worth it in the long run. I just picked up the Sigma 16mm F1.4 for it and I absolutely love the shots I get on this thing.

Incredible camera - essentially the FX3 on a budget. Quality is incredible, 120fps in 4K and 240fps in 1080p is great. The only issue I've found is that the UI has a bit of a learning curve, and there are some overheating issues when recording for 30+ minutes in 4K. Not a huge deal for us as those sessions are few are far between, but might be worth addressing if you're shooting podcasts and such.

Extra batteries or a dummy battery are also helpful so that you don't have to lose the use of your camera while charging.

I got this camera to film YouTube content, but it ended up being so quality that I use it now for personal photography as well and the photos come out way better than my iPhone. You would think normally the camera that produces this quality of photo and video would cost over $1000. This is a great value.

It's a great quality camera. i purchased it so i can take high-quality photos and create videos. i had to YouTube how to set the settings, which took some time. but overall, this was the best investment so far ive made.

good first camera. the size is great. they added a custom menu to fill it with favorite settings for easier access. the flip out screen is a must for vlogging and content creation.\n\nif you are upgrading from a previous camera (i have an a6500), it's not much of an upgrade. it's good i'm able to use existing e-mount lenses. but the battery life isn't all that great. the physical button layouts are better on my older camera. i ended up returning this camera and going with a full frame. that is more of an upgrade path for my situation. i tried the A7C but ultimately went with the A7 IV.

I bought the ZV-E10. I am totally impressed by the image quality of the camera. It also records 4k videos, which are really great. The camera is not too heavy and fits perfectly in the hand thanks to its compact size. There are also great optional accessories, such as interchangeable lenses, tripods and much more. The battery also lasts long enough and the camera is fully charged again in 60 minutes. The display can also be folded out and directed forwards so that you can see yourself when taking pictures. This is my third sony ZV-E10 camera. I use it for B roll cameras for videos in 4k UHD. Also, i have purchased Sony 11mm lens , Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 lens, Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 lens The picture quality is excellent
