I had to replace my washer and decided on the lg- WT7005CW. It’s quiet and washes well. The bleach dispenser is heavy plastic and will not rust like a metal dispenser. The stainless steel drum can handle a large capacity load. I prefer to have several loads instead of one large load. I plan to keep this washer longer than the one before. After each wash I noticed in the detergent tray (in the softener compartment side) some of the water did not empty. Although the water is clear, it did not empty completely after the rinse cycle. The detergent tray is removal, also it’s replaceable - (always check your model number). After laundry is completed for the day, I gently pull the detergent tray out to empty any water that may still be there. Also I prefer to leave my washer lid up to avoid dampness to eliminate any possibility of water odor.

Unless I'm missing something everything I've read so far says you cannot turn off the chimes on the WT6100CW washer and dryer. For some reason LG thought it would be a good idea to not have a disable sound feature with this washer and dryer... They are very annoyingly loud. Washer is very spacious but it seems like i have to constantly select deep wash in order to completely cover my wash load with water... Other than those two inconveniences the pair have been so far so good. We 'll see how they hold up a year from now.

Decent impeller washer. Not obvious how to change water TEMP and levels but it can be done. Have to download full manual online.\r\n\r\nCONS:\r\n- No full manual printed, missing wash cycles and how to change temperature and water levels. \r\n- No countdown timer, some cycles take a really long time, Deep Wash over an hour with Deep Fill. \r\n- Impeller is pretty mellow even on heaviest setting.\r\n- Only one main dial, other options selected through two buttons that don't look like buttons.\r\n- No need new hoses.

I tried using the bedding setting for just sheets to prevent this from happening, but it uses a lot of water and put the machine off balance in the spin. To rebalance itself, it automatically did a 2nd rinse to redistribute the laundry in the tub. That wasted a lot of water. I would have preferred a notification that the load iwas unbalanced that would stop the spin and allow me to open the lid to manually redistribute the laundry by hand. You could always redistribute wash with the old machines. If I see that a spin may be unbalanced before it starts, I would like to be able to pause the cycle, open the lid, and redistribute by hand. Additionally, with old machine, after it extracted the soapy water, it would spin out the water and then spray water from the side onto the clothes during the spin to begin a rinse. That water was pulled through the clothes, rinsing them off while spinning. The spin would then stop and the tub would fill for the final full rinse. In the past, lids did not lock except during the spin. There should be a way to pause the cycle and open the lid before a spin to manually redistribute clothes if you need to.

We have only been using it for 3 weeks, but do like the controls and options. One negative issue was that the cold water valve leaked from the beginning. However, I called the LG customer service line and received good help to check out the washer, and ultimately, to schedule a service tech to come replace the valve. That resolved the issue and I hope to have many years of clean clothes.

Only down fall is the instructions are not very clear, it's kind of a hit or miss when you start the washing machine to see if it fill the tub with enough water. Got it for a pretty decent price...

After my unit’s original washer and dryer gave out, I needed a new washer/dryer on a budget. LG is a decent product, no issues with functionality. The only oddity is that the lettering, power, and start button icons wore off on the washer after the first few months. I’ve labeled them with tape and Sharpie but hopefully that’s the only issue I encounter.

I don't know if this is a 'problem' but the detergent/softener dispenser does not drain completely when the cycle is over. That is the only "issue". The washer does have ample room and cycles for our use.

I always use the extra water feature because the Regular cycle does not cover the items with water. I do not use softener. Need instructions to empty water in the softener tray, it is always full with water after the wash cycle ends and tray cannot be removed Clothes come our very clean. So far pleased with your LG washer.

I bought this a month ago to replace my front loading washer. It seems we never were able to keep the old washer from smelling bad. I must admit, I was watching the new one intently as it was filling up with water I never thought would be enough - surprise, laundry came out clean and so far no smell

This washer is doing everything that we wanted it to do. Set up was an absolute breeze. The controls are very simple and easy to work with. I’m really happy with no longer having to worry about water level. This is a great product at a reasonable price. The little jingle at the end is great too.

Just bought this washer, and although it has some great features. I actually timed a load of 12 bath towels from start to finish, and it took 1 hour and 8 minutes to wash, rinse and spin!!!! The spin cycle was at least 10 minutes!!!! That’s a long time for 1 load in my opinion.

On the Normal setting, the initial display shows 76 minutes, but within the first minute the time suddenly drops to 54 minutes, and I\u2019m not sure why that happens. Also, during the Normal cycle, the water level seems very low, and the clothes on top don\u2019t turn or move to the bottom, so I have the same concern that some items on top may not be getting fully washed. When I use the Bedding cycle, the washer fills with water almost to the top, but the movement isn\u2019t strong enough to turn the sheets. I\u2019ve noticed that part of the sheet never gets wet during the entire wash. It only becomes wet after the water drains and the washer goes into the spin and rinse cycle. This makes me worry that the untouched area isn\u2019t being properly washed.

This model is a reasonably large size, and holds a queen size comforter, but probably won't hold a king. For a regular load of wash, it's best to add additional water, and increase spin cycle to high. At medium, which is the default, the clothes are dripping wet. And something that bothers me a lot - in the owner's manual are installation and troubleshooting instructions. Absolutely no operating instructions. Instead, you are required to use LQ's QR code to scan, select your model, then scroll through a dozen or so pages to find them. For a simple wash load this may not be important, but a lot of buttons are multi functional, in that you press it to perform one function, such as additional water, but press and hold to soak. These additional functions are only explained within the operating manual, which again, isn't contained in to owner's manual. It's cheap and tacky to not provide that written section for a product that can run $500-1000, or more.

We bought this washer a couple of weeks ago. So far so good. As expected the wash cycle is a bit longer but the spin cycle removes more water from the clothes reducing the drying time. Appears to clean well.

This washer is simpler then our previous washer, not as many options but that's okay for us. Just 2 in household so don't do as much laundry as when kids were home. Seems a little loud.

The machine is very efficient but is really missing a setting for permanent press.\r\nI feel there’s no option for a gentler but thorough wash for this.
