[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer about a month ago. It wasn’t my first choice, but I had a space limitation, and this dryer fit in the space and was available. Things I like: The dryer drys well. I like that it has a dryness sensor so clothes don’t over dry and it has wrinkle guard, that at the end of a cycle it will periodically tumble the clothes to avoid wrinkles from setting in. The dryer is attractive looking. The controls are well marked and easily read. What I don’t like. The top of the dryer is slightly curved rather than being a flat top. The lint catcher is located on the top and feels flimsy to me. And rather than lifting straight up, it pulls out toward you. The way it’s designed is odd because it’s long and arched and as one pulls it out it drops fine lint onto the dryer top. I now keep a micro cloth handy to wipe off the top so to be sure that fine lint doesn’t transfer onto anything. This dryer is loud! I don’t have a laundry room. My washer and dryer are located in a hallway behind closed doors. We are planning to put some soundproofing on the back of the doors to hopefully quiet things down. Also, the end cycle signal is very soft and is difficult to hear when the dryer has stopped. Too bad the dryer end cycle signal and the loud running dryer motor sound isn’t reversed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really would have liked to give the dryer only 3 stars, but it drys very well. It has plenty of different settings. I bought this dryer because it has a door that opens down instead of to the side. That was the most important feature to me. I hate two other features of this dryer. I don't like the lint collector on top of the dryer. It makes a mess every time it is pulled out. I most hate the start button. Whoever thought up the idea of having a start button that you have to hold for a count of 1001, 1002 should be fired. I like to pull clothes out and restart the dryer while I hang the one I pulled out. Every time I have to hold down the start button, and the dryer still takes another couple of seconds to start after I release the button.

Whirlpool 7 cu.ft. vented dryer is an awesome which more capacity, and it is looks strong. I am completely impressed with the way it is designed to accommodate multiple drying options which I still need to learn. The steam refresh cycle is the exciting option to get rid of the wrinkles and the clothes will be ready to wear. We can dry a small load and a large load with the customised options and can save them for later laundry time. The automatic sensors help in turning off the dryer and prevents the over drying. Over all it is a great product and can be used happily without any hesitation. Not sure if it was only for me, the delivery of the product took almost a month and everything else with the dryer is fantastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Moisture sensor really does a good job in drying heavy items. Seldom have to run the clothes through a second drying cycle. They never over dry until hot to the touch.\nThe only complaintsis having to press down onto two "on" Buttons to start the machine. And other is the top of dryer is slopped. You cannot set anything on top of the dryer. You cannot fold laundry on it because everything slides off!!! A waste of a work surface. I \nwish I had noticed that crazy design before I made the purchase. The third is the strong paint odors from inside the drum. It's been over two weeks since we bought it and the smell hasn't completely gone away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer online and wish that I had seen it in person before buying. The dryer itself is fine, but the top is not flat! It has a gentle slope which is great for reducing clutter, but not so good if you are limited on counter space and use the top of the dryer to set things on. Also, the end cycle buzzer is not very loud. Once again, a feature that some people will love, I need a louder and more demanding signal. It also requires a 2 second hold to start the dryer each time the door is opened. The dryer itself is good---I have had no problems with the actual drying, just the little things I didn't expect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the dryer works well. However I have 2 issues with it. 1. Cleaning the dryer lint screen is problematic. The lint sticks to the screen and cannot be easily removed. I have to resort to using some sort of dust cloth to get it off then lint goes through the screen and fine dust gets all over everything and l breath it in. The only alternative is to take it outside and clean it. This is not practi le since I dry at night most of the time. 2. There no visual guage to let you know where in the cycle the dryer is. You don't know how close to the end of the cycle it is.

Small areas of improvement: Timed dry is preprogrammed, for example 15 minutes is lowest time but sometimes may only want 5 or 10 minutes. Prefer this to be user select. Machine slopes on top. Larger clothes items will slide off when folding there. Poor design, very hard to close door, have to push hard. Need better easier latch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This appliance does a great job of fully drying our damp clothes coming from the load that was in the washer. The capacity is much greater than our old dryer. The only drawback to note is that one of my wife’s bras was caught between the spinning drum and the outer wall! We were unable to get it free, and had to cut the strap, thus ruining the garment. The end of the strap with the hooks remains lodged between the spinning drum and the housing wall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had it for a week and only used it once so far. But for the one run I did it worked great set on Normal and Medium heat. Turned itself off when the clothes were done, and they all came out dry and no wrinkles. It moves a lot more air than the 18-year-old Whirlpool Dryer it replaced. The old dryer still worked but it was time to replace it. My only issue so far with the new Dryer is I wish the end of cycle buzzer was a little louder.

My clothes are either still wet while the machine tells me they are dry or they are hot and dry while the machine tells me they are wet. The bell indicating the cycle is complete can't be heard if the tv is on. It doesn't have a timer, i.e. my old machine would a lot 40 minutes and you could check how much time was left. I miss that. The door is hard to close. You really have to slam it.

It does not have a timer because it has moisture sensing which means it will keep going until everything is dry. I do think the alarm buzzer should be louder. I have never heard it, however, my clothes are always dry. The adjustable plastic feet could be stronger, but despite that, this machine is easy to install by anyone. If I can do it, anyone should be able to do it. The noise level is normal and this dryer is quite powerful. No need for "smart" controls. The lint trap is on the top of the dryer, a HUGE improvement! It is a basic, yet sophisticated model. You will not be disappointed in the quality. Note: The top of this dryer is rounded and not flat, so you will not be able to store your stuff on it.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Purchased this dryer about 2 months ago. Installation was easy. This is a fairly basic dryer, which is what we wanted. There is a light in the drum when the door opens. The lint trap is located on the top of the machine, so when you empty the lint, the dust goes all over the top of the dryer and needs wiping. The chime that plays when the dryer is done is not overly loud. Overall we are happy with it as we only wanted a basic dryer.

Price was right. Not a lot of bells and whisltles which is fine. The lint catcher could not be cheesier. Worried it will break. The one on one of the floor model was already broken so it must be treated gently. The guys who brought and installed it from Lowes were very professional and knew exactly what to do to get it in the basement. The quickly removed and replaced two doors, no problem. Very pleased with the delivery service. Dryer is working well using the wetness sensor.

However, this one does not fully dry our clothes unless on the "more dry" setting. The "end of drying cycle" buzzer is barely loud enough to hear whereas our previous dryers were quite loud. Otherwise we are happy with the overall operation of this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works so well. I love that it has a buzzer, but can also be muted with the push of a button as well. It has temperature and timed settings. We use the lowest temperature setting for our things and the longest time. It usually gets everything dry, with towels needing maybe 15 minutes more. I love how simplistic and efficient this dryer is. We had a very high tech, expensive dryer prior to this one and I thought for sure I'd miss it, but I don't at all. This dryer is fantastic. I also love that the dryer door folds down, instead of swinging sideways like many do. We have a small laundry room and having the door swing down is super helpful. I would definitely recommend! We've had it for a few months now and it's been great. The drum also holds a great amount of linens!

The location of the lint filter is not ideal because when I take it out to clean it, lint falls onto the top of the dryer. Also, unless I use the timed drying setting, I have no idea how long it will take. If I stop it to check and the clothes are not dry, the cycle starts all over again.

It blows very well and the lint it collects with each load is amazing. Plan to not use the feet or come up with a better solution. Plan to reinforce your dryer hose as it will really move during the cycle. The door is very difficult to open and requires two hands, all while holding the dryer in place.

This dryer would be 5 stars if the design for the top of it wasn't so stupid. Things roll off the top of it because it is not a flat surface. My bird feeder that I set down on it while I was getting stuff to clean it just "jumped" off of it less than 5 minutes after I started the dryer and I had to super glue a piece that broke when it fell. It is frustrating when you're used to putting things on the top of your washer and dryer.

It sticks out so far that you have to be very careful cloth don't catch on it when you're putting them into the dryer from the washer because it will snag depending on the material. Maybe if there's a way to have it set back in a little farther and have the closing mechanism on the door longer...

The drop-down door design makes unloading a bit of a stretch — and it feels flimsier than the glass door I was used to. I absolutely love the wrinkle control option that occasionally tumbles your laundry after the drying process is complete - I'm not always able to unload the dryer immediately, so this feature is extremely helpful in keeping my clothes wrinkle free while giving me time to finish my other tasks around the house. Another favorite of mine is the moisture sensor. With previous dryers, I've always had to check and re-check to make sure my laundry had dried completely, but there is no issue with that here. 10/10 would recommend this dryer & set to anyone looking for an upgrade. When you pull it out it's very wobbly and cheap feeling and seems like it could break off in your hands.
