Let me start by saying I am not a professional chef. In fact, I'm not even a good cook. But I am a person who appreciates good tools and these Globals are seriously good. They are well balanced, a good weight (not too light, not too heavy) and seriously sharp. I sliced a soft tomato easily and accurately just holding the 20cm cook's knife with thumb and forefinger whilst letting the weight of the knife do the work. I know there are more expensive knives out there which are probably appropriate for professionals, but these are great for the home cook. I will definitely be buying more Global knives.

Awesome knives, wish I had purchased a decent set 20 years ago. Really well balanced weight, easy to clean and so sharp they literally fall through whatever you are cutting up.

I thought Global knives were supposed to be ones that chef's use and a high quality knife. I have used them for a while now and ready to throw them out and buy another brand unfortunately. I only cut on wooden boards or plastic boards, I don't put in dishwasher. I have had the chef's one professionally sharpened once at $12.50. They are too fragile, little chips out of blades continuously. We have the proper wet block sharpening tool. When I hold them up can see the little chunks missing from blades. I don't feel they are a sturdy kitchen knife at all and blunt very quickly. What a shame.I thought Global knives were supposed to be ones that chef's use and a high quality knife.
