Overall, a nice vacuum, much nicer than the cheaper model Kenmore that it replaced. The powered head for carpets and the hard floor attachment work well, the latter rocks forward and back and swivels left/right making it easy to get in close around furniture. Suction is very good. The other attachments, crevice tool and brush, are good quality. I haven't really used the powered pet hair attachment. The hose and power cord are long and make handling easier. The canister stays put nicely when doing stairways. The pipe is significantly larger than that on our previous vacuum and this does prevent getting into some narrow spaces beside appliances, etc. The biggest downsides for me are that the unit is loud when it's running and the canister is fairly heavy. It's easy enough to pull around on the floor but lifting it could be a problem for someone with physical or strength issues.

I really like this vacuum cleaner, especially at this price point! I have been a fan of Kenmore products in the past and have owned several progressive vacuums… Like the older ones that delivers great performance it's easy to use with excellent suction. The cord is sufficiently long to go up and down steps . The vacuum works great on carpet or hardwood/vinyl. The only thing that bothers me about it is it's not as elegant as some others; the hose tends to twist and the wheels can be obstinate. But I will put up with that for the cleaning power!

This is my third Kenmore canister vacuum in 45 years. I noticed immediately that it doesn't seem like it'll hold up as well ex: the plastic detachment handle on the bottom is pretty loose and flimsy. The hose is very stiff (maybe it'll soften over time) which makes maneuvering a bit hard. The hoses on my other two swiveled making it easy to move around. It does have great suction, it's lightweight, has a retractable cord and it's easy to switch tools (my daughter had a model that you had to unplug part of the cord to switch which was a bit annoying). All in all, it seems fine for the price paid.

This is my third Kenmore canister vacuum in 30 years. This particular model is the least expensive with fewer features. Overall, it is great. The bare floor attachment is too small but the corner design is lovely. The brush attachment is poorly designed and the bristles are so soft that they don't get into crevices. The snap on tool holder is cheaply designed. The power button on the main housing is inconvenient and difficult for those of us with balance and back issues. The power button was on the wand on both of my old models. There is no telescoping option on the wand so reaching ceilings is impractical. \nOther than the diminished features that this model has, it was affordable and the cleaning power is fantastic. \nI'm not disappointed, just wish it had a few more better thought out features.

I bought this vacuum to clean the rugs in my car and do small jobs around the house. I do not intend to use this vacuum to do all the carpets in the house. There are better vacuums for that job.\nI like the fact that it is small and easily transported to various location. It produces a strong vacuum and is great for picking up debris off of hardwood floors and in hard to reach corners.

We have purchased Kenmore canister vacuums for over 30 years. This model was featured in consumer reports. It is lightweight and easy to use. We have tile floors so it is good for the surface of our floors. It doesn't have a handle like the current Kenmore we are using so picking it up is a bit of a challenge. Also, it uses a larger bag for the dust and pet hairs but the cavity the bag sits in isn't as large as the current Kenmore which uses the same size bags so it may be the bag fills up sooner.

Excellent suction, easy to assemble, and conveniently located tools. I really like the variability of this vacuum. Lots of great options including telescoping wand, convenient handle on canister for cleaning stairs or curtains, retractable cord, the canister handle is separate from the bag/ hose entry, and the option of wand of floor. The only reasons I cannot give 5 stars is because the hook for the wand doesn’t hold the wand well and the floor portion must be detached in order to store the wand in the slot. You have to use two hands to extend the telescoping wand. The other thing I don’t like is the wand in the floor part is top heavy and falls over ALL the time. Finally, I’ve only had this vacuum a couple of months but the telescoping button sticks so it will slide out of place on its own. Love the versatility and suction but the item could use some improvements.

I had a similar Kenmore that lasted for many years. Motor outlasted the rest of it. On this one I could have paid more for the swivel feature, and wish that this model did have it. Makes it so much easier to clean. Overall I wish more parts were not plastic. Also hope I can find paper bag replacements instead of what came with it.

I really love this vacuum, gets into tight places, great power, not too loud, compact and lightweight…..but, this is the third one I've had to purchase. First one lost suction around the base hose and the second ones wand/handle won't stay in place, slides down to the shortest length wile using. Also the bare floor attachment continually falls off while in use. I hope this one lasts awhile longer. Shrinkflation/not made like the old days. ?

I grew up using the Kenmore vacuum at homes that my mom would clean as a housekeeper. Various homes had different vacuum cleaners and my preferred to use were Kenmore canister vacuums they are very versatile to go under beds, furniture, stairs. and tended to do the best work. As long as bags were not overfilled. Kenmore vacuums would clean the best with the least amount of dust causing system. With the use of both the HEPA filter and a HEPA vacuum bags I believe they would even improve air quality in the cleaned rooms. For Over 35 years I have purchased three different Kenmore vacuums. I will continue purchasing them as they improve on models. Thank you for constructing a quality vacuum.

I've had Kenmore many vacs before. I like the ease in handling as I get older and the fact that the tools are on the handle for easy access. It is lightweight. Love the easy rewind cord. Very strong suction and the carpet looks new after vacuuming. 👍🏻

all the attachments fit right into the unit. very easy to snap/click together, so easy to use, beautiful. great suction, already used it, absolutely love my vacuum cleaner. and the purple color is so pretty. \nif I have to put any kind of negativity at all it would be because of myself, it is a heavy vacuum cleaner. however it's okay, the wheels are easy and it's easy to maneuver. just be patient with it if you have limitations like I do. otherwise it's great I love all of it, it exceeded my expectations. I am so glad I purchased this. thank you.

This vacuum has great suction. Easy to use. The only 2 things is the on and off switch is on the canister. It would be better on the handle . Also, the button to exchange the tools is very hard to press in. That should be a little flatter.

Love the fan sweeper - can get the dust off easily. \nThe accessories does not fit the universal size because of the inner diameter for the attachments. This one is bigger and can only buy as a Kenmore brand. I wanted to buy a round brush which does not come w the vacuum cleaner and unable to find it because of the fit.\nCannot find the fan sweeper attachment to buy as a replacement. Kenmore doesn't even have a part number for this.\nI did not give a 5 star rating because of the accessories.

Great vacuum, had one before. Gave it to my son and daughter in law when they started housekeeping. I like canisters better, easier to pull than push for me. Had a Shark Apex Baggless, not much on uprights or baggless. Hated emptying it and washing the filters. The suction on the Kenmore is a lot stronger than the Shark. Extremely happy to be back with the Kenmore canister and power nozzle.

Love this vacuum. It has great tools and my carpets look renewed. I love that it has bags that can be changed. It helps with pet odors. I find the bag less vacuums tend to smell like dog after a while no matter what. This gives you a fresh start with each bag. They aren't expensive and are easy to change. The suction is strong and it's easy to use. I question my judgement in getting rid of my old one for a cordless stick. Happy to have this canister back.

Always preferred a canister vacuum, particularly a Kenmore to the other vacuums. Had one for years and years before the power head finally failed. It couldn't be fixed since it was so old [took it in after being delegated to the back closet for a few extra years]. Have an upright Shark and it is only good for large open areas like the living room, while I need one to get in nooks and crannies full of dust bunnies.\nIt has most of the needed attachments [can use the ones from the old vacuum] and the suction once again tries to eat my carpet. Wouldn't trade it for a cordless; just not enough power in those.

Pros: Suction is good. Works great over carpet and all of that. Like the extendable wand. All attachments work as intended. Low noise. \n\nCons: The swivel head is absolutely pointless! It makes the unit almost impossible to move around. If you want to turn it in any direction, you have to make a sweeping motion left or right. No way to lock the swivel either which makes it even more ridiculous!\n\nI'll keep the packaging and give it few more tries. Will probably be going back tbh.

The Kenmore Bagged Canister Vacuum cleaner was perfect for my basement studio space. It does a great job on carpet, foam tiles and hardwood floors at keeping the clean. It has the accessories to get into corners while it's vacuum brush head gets close to the wall making finishing touches a breeze. I would highly recommend this for small houses and business clean up. We repaired our old Kenmore powermate several times but it finally gave up the ghost. So far, after several weeks this one has been great. On carpet the suction is so strong it automatically goes with little guidance by the user. We have a dog that sheds and it performs well with the dog hair and the brush attachment works pretty good on the sofa. I like the smaller floor attachment which makes it easier to get around furniture etc.

I've had a couple of these types of vacuums before and they always aim to please. Love the attachments for getting in small places and doing a thorough job as this vacuum really has great suction . I don't mind changing the bags when a vacuum works and cleans well. However, had to order the bags online as my Walmart store did not carry them. Was easy to install %26 put together. Also is great for cleaning vehicles because of the long hose.

The Kenmore 81214 200 Series Pet Friendly Lightweight Bagged Canister Vacuum with HEPA is a great little vacuum cleaner. I have used it twice. The only drawback is that it does not have a hard floor tool. The floor attachment is supposed to be used on carpet and hard floors, but I prefer a hard floor tool for hard floors. Otherwise, it's great.

This my 2nd Kenmore Canister Vacuum. My first one last almost 20 years. A few years ago we started using upright vacuums with a removable dust bin because of our dogs. They don't get under furniture like a canister so I bought another Kenmore Canister! It's blue like my first one. I love the powered head for getting up hair off of furniture and under furniture and beds!
