Bought this about a month ago and very happy with my choice. Been wanting to bring my 2004 Silverado into today with the new technology and carplay integration and this unit does everything I need and want. Behind this double din unit is a single din chassis that leaves plenty of room to store the wiring harness. Perfect replacement for the factory unit in my truck and this Sony unit fits the bill.

I installed the receiver in my 2011 Toyota Camry earlier this year in April 2025. It was a great fit and I loved it so much when I was considering an upgrade for my 1996 Mazda pickup, I ordered another without a second thought. Each installation went smoothly, and looked and sounded excellent afterwards. I can't recommend this receiver highly enough.

I love Pioneer products, for the money you cannot beat them! Glad Walmart carries them. Great unit, Love the BT features, however, there really is no need for ALL the different settings! It has more features than you can possibly use! Keep the color options, BT connect ability, but some of the other features, totally not necessary.

I purchased this for my dad and he loves it on his Highlander the sound quality is exceptional and it turned out great on the install . The headunit fit the openings very well with Crutchfield selling us the radio and parts

I have had this since September of 2023. It was working great until about 6 months ago where I noticed sometimes it does not connect to my iPhone and sometimes it does not play certain radio stations. Even if I am within city limits, some stable stations do not work. The other thing I tried that did not work was the run software update. It keeps telling me USB Disk not found. I followed all the steps but it still did not work. Can be annoying.

Radio was overall easy to install and sounds great! Written instructions from Pioneer on how to program different functions is not the easiest to follow but I'm slowly figuring it out.

i bought a used car and this radio was in there i just added a jbl amp box and the radio has lots of power im impressed with this radio luv it.

Working good so far. Stands up well in Minnesota cold, connects to Bluetooth right away, easy set up and settings. I have noticed when connecting to USB so I can drive with my OnX hunt or maps on it disconnects quickly, goes in and out ...otherwise good for the price etc.

Decent sub woofer but no ground-pounder. It is always hard to review something like this because so many things can affect the results you get. How's your radio... where did you mount the Sub... how did you mount it... what is YOUR idea of good base and what is the quality of the music you are playing? For me, I replaced the stock Bose system in a C4 Corvette convertible with a JVC KW-HDR81BT head unit pushing 12" oval kicker speakers. Now, for small cars like mine, there is not a ton of room in the speaker cubbyholes for the sound to resonate (especially for the low tones) so I wanted to add a little more support for the low end without overdoing it and thought this would fit the bill. Now before I bought this Sub I wanted to make sure that my radio was capable of pumping out decent base so I borrowed my 400 Watt home entertainment system Sub Woofer and piped the JVC’s SUB signal through it. Lets say that the neighbors were NOT as happy with the results as I was in confirming that my radio had more than enough guts while I listened to "Long Cool Women in a Black Dress" whose base-thumps bulged my garage windows. So... I went ahead and purchased this unit knowing that my radio or the way I had configured it would not be a weak point. The results of my install for this Sub? Well... long story short, this unit does add more depth to the base end but I honestly expected just a bit more. When I say "a bit more", I mean that I wish I could overdrive the base just a little with this unit cranked to max volume and be forced to back off a little to get a comfortable sound level. As it is, I have to leave it pretty much at full volume to have it perform at an acceptable level. As a long time electronics engineer and troubleshooter I hate the idea of running any electrical device at near 100% for reasons of device longevity. Now, remember that I had already tested my radio and cables so I ( and my neighbors) knew what my radio is capable of so the "limiting" factor is this Sub Woofer and not my setup. I was able to improve things a bit by moving the Sub from the rear of the cargo bay to behind the drivers seat but I still need to drive this Sub pretty hard. The nice thing about having a separate Sub Woofer is that you can adjust the mid and treble tones so they can stand on their own without trying to give some of their space to the low tones. That’s a big plus. All that said, This Sub Woofer DOES to an acceptable job and I am not all that dissatisfied it's just the -near 100% volume thing- that concerns me a bit.

Sony has released only one update since the release of this model. With that update they didn't address most of the issues or functions that needed improvement. Since then still nothing. \r\nSONY please improve the CarPlay and WebLink functions!

Been soldering wires to an adapter to make it plug into my VW beetle harness or antenna. Finally got a harness built and now I only have Sound coming front 2 speakers. O( well back to checking wiring.

Very pleased. As described by other reviews, not enough base to rattle the mirrors and windows but, just the right amount of base to give your music a strong, smooth, quality sound that most speakers mounted in the door just can't provide. I replaced 4 factory 6 X 8's in the doors of my son's Toyota Tacoma with Kicker Coax models and that made a nice improvement but, still lacked any deep, strong base. The Kenwood compact sub was the smallest of all the under seat subs and one of the best priced I could find. Alpine makes a compact sub but, it's nearly twice the price. So, I decided to give the Kenwood a shot and thought that if it doesn't give us enough punch, I could purchase a second one for just about the same price as 1 Alpine compact sub. The wired remote works well. It's nice to have it in easy reach to make a little adjustment to the crossover point or gain control. As a rule, you get it set to a point that your happy with and leave it there. I found a YouTube video that showed a guy that rigged up 2 subs that he could control through 1 remote control. My son is happy with the sound. He says the system finally has a full sound. Good bang for the buck as long as you keep your expectations in check and remember how much you spent for it. Very pleased with it.

Billed as having a non-glare screen. NOT! Glare is really really bad. Doesn't autoswitch to night mode for Google Maps. No brightness adjustment--screen washed out in daylight and too bright at night. Other than that, great radio with great features.

Installed this particular subwoofer for the first time last week. Easy installation and can appreciate the slimline design and solid enclosure. Sound quality is good (keep your expectations in check here) Weight is moderate for the size. Looks great and nice add on to any kenwood system. The lighted remote is kinda a love-hate thing. It is corded (phone cord), and our installs we normally set it and forget it. If this sub is tied into your stereo RCA’s (sub out) then you have full function regardless. If you use the supplied high output wiring that Is supplied with the sub, then you will need the remote to adjust settings. Good value for the money, and would purchase again. Great for sound enhancement, not for trying to vibrate your license plate off your trunk.

I run two 5 1/4 two 4+6 two 6 1/2 and two tweeters all Memphis components then it’s pushing a Memphis 15” m-6 with a upgraded driver or magnet which takes more power to move it was a 1900watt sub before I upgraded it now it’s like probably close to 2500watt or more but this little way underrated amp push’s this 15” with no problem I was going to buy a 3000 watt amp for my sub but after seeing how hard it hits with this 500 watt on it no need to spend more money I recommend this amp to anyone buying a five channel amp or even if you only need a two channel nice to have Incase you decided to upgrade your door speakers or do a component set up thank you for reading hope this helps you decide

Product sounds great! Looks nice and functions well. BT to my android with the app wasn't that bad at all and it connects to my phone consistently with no problems. I only don't like how the menus are set up but I'm used to a Kenwood setup, so probably just my opinion. Anyways it's a great product for the money especially if you have subs.Product sounds great! I replaced a JVC and made huge difference in power. It was easy install. It has so many features you can make it sound the way you want. The bass boost is really nice option. This was the perfect addition to my car stereo, and the one thing that was lacking. I have a 65 Mustang Fastback, and needed to find a way to put in a sub-woofer and amp w/o taking up valuable trunk space, and this was it. It fit nicely in between the rear taillight and the wheel well. The sound is really good, and I can make the rear view mirror shake to the music. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to add some good bass and doesn't have the room for a big box and amp.

We bought this for an upgrade to the TV sound so we could watch TV late at night in our apartment. It had great sound quality l, with clear voice at night.
