I like the fridge, I wish I had a bigger space, I would have gotten a bigger one that's much deeper, but, overall, after a month of use here's my review so far, I think where the water comes out, should be revisited, you need both doors opened and 2 hands to get water, the button is very hard to press, also where the water actually comes out of is so tiny it is very cumbersome, the doors don't shut by themselves, Im used to my old fridge doors shut by themselves with a tiny push, this fridge, I have to constantly go back to shut the doors, and lol, the ice area, I'm not sure if the ice automatically stops making ice when the bin is full, I keep getting ice falling out of the bin when I open the freezer , otherwise, it keeps my food very nice and cold, especially my beverages, and I have room inside the fridge , I used to have a side by side, I couldn't put anything in there that was wide, I like the look of the fridge it's clean and pretty in my kitchen.

We have an older home that only has a space for a 33" wide refrigerator, basically counter depth. We needed to replace an older LG refrigerator which was 24 cubic ft., and this GE was well-rated, but much smaller (just over 18 cubic ft.). It was all we could find, so I ordered it. I was shocked at how small it was, and how little flexibility there is to arrange interior shelves. Any beverages (like juice, milk, etc) can ONLY go in the door, and the shelves are barely deep enough to put in a 13 x 9" pan. Anything around the top vent freezes, so we hae to be careful what we put there. The shelving in the doors, as well as the inside drawers feel extremely cheap - I hope they last. The pull-out freezer drawer is extremely small, super unstable, and rocks each time you open and shut it. I have no idea how the LG found all that extra space in a refrigerator that appeared to be the same size. The filtered water is accessed from the inside and is very awkward. GE could and should do better. On the positive side, the ice maker works great, and the stainless finish is nice.

We love our new GE Refrigerator! Love the color. My mom always bought GE products. It's certainly a name you can trust. It's the perfect size for my husband and I. We had a unique situation with the amount of space we had and this fits perfectly! The cooling for both the top and bottom is good, the water outlet is perfect as well. It takes up no extra space being on the inside on the side. The only negative thing I can say about this refrigerator is that I wish the freezer was a little bigger and wish the top compartment moved back a little further. Otherwise, it's good and I would buy it again.

This refridgerator was installed in our 5th Wheel before we purchased it. There are dents in the doors so they are supposed to be replacing it through the RV Dealership. Unfortunately, the installer did not turn on the waterline so we cannot attest to the icemaker or water dispenser. We can only attest to the refridgerator's ability to chill and freeze appropriately. So far so good, otherwise. The failure to provide full service does not reflect upon the refridgerator's functionality, but upon the installer's poor quality of service.

Almost 24 hours since my GE French door refrigerator was installed. Installation was quick and painless.
My amazement came later when ice maker dumped first load within 3 hours of being installed. Noise from new GE has a quieter humming sound than my past fridge which I'm extremely happy about due to having hearing issues.
Our previous fridge was 25 cubic ft. The new GE at 18 cubic ft seems equally spacious. I'm hoping that it will work longer than my previous one.
In less than 24 hours I'm loving the new GE French Door.

We are very happy with our new GE counter-depth French door refrigerator. It fits nicely in the space we have. We love the double door design with the freezer drawer below. The reason for only four stars is the freezer drawer feels rather shaky when being pulled out or pushed in. Unlike another brand's French door refrigerator that we have in our primary home that has a solid glide feel, this one wobbles like it is on a single track in the middle rather than a proper drawer mechanism with a slide on both sides.

Just received it this week. Not a fan of the filtered water system. You need to keep the refrigerator open and hold down a very small button. (Not easy with arthritis). Both doors need to be open to access the lowest drawer, and anything spanning the shelves behind both doors. The freezer holds much less than a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.\nDelivery was great, Emilio and Reynaldo were super: efficient, professional, quick, and vert respectful of property. They took all the wrappings away with them.

Purchased this three weeks ago to replace a very old unit. Iām very happy with this refrigerator. Even though it is narrower than most because of limited space in my kitchen, it is very roomy. I purchased this GE refrgerator because 1) GE's reputation for reliability and 2) it had the greatest capacity of any refrigerator that would fit into the available space. Weāve had this refrigerator for a little over a month now. We have a small kitchen so the size is perfect for the space. Itās looks great in the space. I love how easy it is to clean and can appreciate the inside water dispenser feature. The ice maker works well. The freezer is small but we knew that so we did purchase a deep freezer for the over flow. However, this refrigerator is LOUD. In an annoying way. Thatās the only downside this far. When making ice even louder. Itās too loud.

I like the sturdiness of the shelving. And it's great to have a shelf that folds back. For a smaller fridge, it has a lot of room in the cooling department. I was not aware of how small the freezer was until after we got it home. And the ice bin makes a bit of a crashing noise when its opened in a routine way. Overall, I like it and it was the only one that would fit into our small space. It looks nice.

Great fridge! We replaced the one that original was in our unit when we started to rent. Upon purchasing the Condo, we decided we needed to upgrade. With the counter depth, it fits perfectly for us, the flexibility on the shelves provides ample capacity for us being a two person household. I love my new refrigerator. Its beautiful. It was cold and easy to go in no time. Lots of shelving and room inside. My kitchen is on the smaller side but the counter depth fridge was a great fit and it's energy efficient. The only thing is that the freezer is small. If you have a big family or freeze a lot of things. The bins are small and won't hold a lot.

I like the French doors on the top but the bottom freezer is surprisingly smaller than I expected and it makes quite a bit of noise with the top section and bottom section that rub along each other every time you open it. I would have thought it would be quieter but the metal on metal slides don't actually allow that I suppose. Just seems odd to me.

I love this cabinet depth refrigerator/freezer combo. I love GE Apliances in general and have the whole kitchen suite plus a washer and dryer from them. I did remove one star because the trim around the doors, especially on the freezer, has broken off. Itās very fragile. I think the design or the material composition of the trim is at fault.

Love the design and it fits in my small space. I 'm not crazy about the freezer. The top tray sticks and the lower drawer is divided into two sections, which I think is unnecessary since it's so small to begin with. You wouldn't even be able to fit a small pizza there. Also, my doors are slightly off, so they don't line up as they should.

Cools well, like the french door feature. Cabinet depth is better for my compact kitchen. Enjoy the filtered water and ice maker features which I never had before. Like the bottom freezer drawer feature but capacity smaller than I expected but freezes things well. Might not be the best choice for a family but good for one or two people.

The con is the lower freezer, seems to be rather small, I've had to re think the way I shops, after really looking at it there is alot of lost space, and when you pull the drawer out it's seems cheaply made. My new GE 18.6 cu. Ft. Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator is a handsome addition to my kitchen. Everything is working well so far, and I am enjoying how quiet it runs and convenient it is to all functions including inside the door cold water and of course the ice maker. The freezer compartment in deep and will provide plenty of room for all my frozen goods needs. The adjustable shelves inside the fridge unit is not only convenient, but will be easy cleaning as well. I love the number of shelves on each door totally 6 large storage shelves and 2 bottom shelves. The doors are easy to open and close and I love the temperature display at the top of the fridge unit. My entire experience from purchase to use so far, has been excellent and I would confidently recommend this refrigerator as an excellent product.

Love the smaller profile and French doors. The interior is quite small, and only measures about 13 inches deep inside the fridge, so no pizza boxes or large party trays. It barely fits a large take-out box. The crisper only fits a small box of lettuce. No more than one gallon of milk in the door.

The capacity seems so small with so much room on the doors but not on the shelves. The freezer is a joke with only a tiny shelf and 2 bins that are small and too deep to find what's on the bottom! On the plus side it is BRIGHT inside and you can readily see what's there.

If I'd known about this fridge months ago, I wouldn't have waited so long to buy it! This has so much more space than our previous refrigerator (French doors). The water dispenser is on the inside, which keeps the outside clean, but isn't the easiest to fill a pitcher.
