This is my 2nd ZZ plant and 1st from Costa Farms. My original one has been on a mostly shaded tropical porch getting water only from occasional rainfall for years. They are extremely hearty plants; great for anyone new to houseplants or with a not-so-green thumb! \r\nThis classic ZZ looks very healthy and dense with dark green mature leaves. It has plenty of new bright green growth, and the roots are so thick that the pot has warped to a triangle shape. It was overfilled with loamy soil, so I removed some to top-dress several old plants. \r\nIt does best in indirect bright light, real or artificial. It will tolerate somewhat less light. It likes to dry out between waterings, which is perfect for those of us who sometimes neglect our plants. \r\nI’m not using the included plastic lined basket, but what’s cool about the basket is that you can fold the top half down into the bottom half to use it as a general basket around the house or for compact storage. Very small pets can use it for a bed if you line it with a soft fill. \r\nYou can’t go wrong with this plant!
