Three times over now, my household(s) have bought this exact Shark Rotator NV501 vacuum. Not because they've failed and it needed to be replaced, but because they've made impression on those that lived there.\n\nA past relationship of mine, this was the vacuum we bought and were blown away. My mom ended up liking ours so much, she ended up buying the same one. Now in a better place and time, my new household decided to get the same vacuum because it performs THAT well. It picks up every last bit of pet dander, kitty litter, and whatever else is thrown at it. The attachments make it incredibly easy to vacuum cat towers or furniture. It's suction is second to none. With all three, none ever gave any of us an issue other than a hose wearing over time due to stretching which can easily be replaced. I appreciate that it has a fairly low profile to get far enough under the bed. It doesn't create any hand-fatigue while using it, meaning it's not overly heavy or awkward to maneuver. It's got little headlights on it so when using it on hard surfaces you can see areas of litter or fur. The top of the unit lifts away as well. I've taken it up a ladder to vacuum ledges around the house. The Rotator does it all and does it amazingly well.\n\nIf ever I had to, I'd buy a fourth one, but I have a feeling I won't have to anytime soon. Shark makes top-notch, quality vacuums. It almost makes vacuuming therapeutic to see all it picks up. You don't realize how poor of a vacuum you might own until you try something like this. Being one of their most popular and highest rated models, you can't go wrong with the Shark Rotator.

I've always been more than satisfied with my Shark vacuum so when I needed to replace it after 7 years, I only wanted another Shark. I chose the Rotator upright. This thing does it all! From different floor types, suction control for area rugs, removable wand for reaching and canister lift for small space cleaning. The suction of this vacuum is amazing. However in my opinion, there are 2 things that keep this Shark from being perfect. ONE, the roller brush wraps with hair quite quickly and I clear it frequently. I'm not one to wait for the red indicator light to come on before I clean them. TWO, it seems very heavy and difficult to push especially when vacuuming carpet. I did discover that if I put more space between me and the vacuum it is much easier to push. All in all, I love the versatility of this shark and would buy it again.

I absolutely love this vacuum. This is my second Shark Professional that I have purchased. I purchased my first Shark Professional in 2005. During the 21 years this fabulous vac covered every corner of my house, carpets, rugs, tile, hardwood floors and upholstery. It also went outside to clean our vehicles like new, as well as the motorhome. And I have 4 dogs, so dog hair causes me to vacuum continually, EVERYWHERE. \nLightweight compared to others, and easy to pick up and carry by the handle located on the canister. Easy to clean and or change the filters Very handy accessories. Strong suction and easy to maneuver. My first one still runs great, but I live in a hot climate and the plastic housing on my first Shark started to crack, perhaps from the heat and just age. So, it was time for a new one. \nI also have a Shark cordless sweeper handy for quick clean ups.

I love a heavy duty vacuum to really get the carpet clean, but my old was outdated and crusty. I have mostly hard floors in my new house and a friend gave me a shark stick vacuum which is great for convenience but doesn’t clean up well and dies after 2 minutes. So with this vacuum I can have the heavy duty AND lifts away to a stick-like vacuum to get those smaller spaces and my hard floors AND it lifts away to do cobwebs in ceiling or to vacuum my couch. Literally the best vacuum shark has made, fits every need of mine. After the first minute of cleaning a rug that I thought was clean, my new vacuum got so much dirt, hair, and dust like you would think I never vacuum. Crazy how much of a difference having a good vacuum like this one can do!

I bought a Shark Rotator just like it about 12 years ago and loved it! Best vacuum I ever owned! I see Shark made a few changes over the years, though: this brand new one has a shorter cord so it doesn't teach as far. The old cord was more flexible. The old vacuum came with more attachments and I think the vacuum hose on the old vac was a little longer as well. Since it's the same model number, the extra filters I had bought for the old, will fit the new vacuum, so no money wasted there! I'm thrilled Shark is still manufacturing this model. I was happy with the old and now the new. Although I wish they were putting a longer and more flexible cord on the new ones just like they did the old ones. I would still recommend this model.

I confess. I am a Shark lover. I have 3 dogs, a cat and a ‘Doug'. We live on a small farm in Wyoming. I'm also a bit of a neat nick. Needless to say, I go through vacuums. \n\nI inherited my Mother's professional Shark - which she probably had for at least 5 years. It's definitely a step up from the less expensive Sharks I have been using. \n\nWhen I received a request for a vacuum for someone in need, I decided I'd give my newer Shark to them and move Mom's vacuum downstairs to replace it and buy another one just like it. I'm so happy I did! The new one is so powerful and robust!\n\nYup. In a few years when I'm ready to juggle vacuums around again, Shark it shall be!!

The dirt, sand and dust sucked up by this vacuum is mind blowing. Makes me think my old vacuum did nothing. Every time I vacuum the main floor of the house, the canister is half full. The power is so strong. I accidentally ran over the power cord when the brush roller was on. The power cord was sucked into the roller; peeled the rubber off the cord down to the wires! I do wish there was a clip for the cord so I don't have to hold it in my hand all the time. There is a hook for the cord, however, the cord will not stay there. So far, I am very impressed. This vacuum is lighter cuz it's mostly plastic and quieter than previous vacuums I have owned.

I’m so glad I purchased this product. I used to have a old shark virgin the white colour with the handle. I use it for five years and then it broke so then I went for something else, but it only lasts me for about a year so I purchased this brand of shark professional three ways have been used for almost a year still like a new one. The fact it’s taking all the dust. Even on the hard surface or carpet doesn’t leave anything behind. If you are a pet lover. Or you have small children you definitely have to go for this brand. I know we are looking for something cheap but sometimes you can get for very good price.

Amazing! Only draw back and reason for not giving 5 stars is the canister is sooo small and fills up super quick. You have to empty it after only a couple\nPasses in a room especially if you have a lot of dog or pet hair. This thing is one of the absolute BEST on pet hair and dirt, though! Carpets look and feel so clean after and it gets all the hair without a struggle! Canister empties easy. The detachable unit to be able to do stairs or other areas w/o lugging the whole unit is perfection! \nGreat vacuum! BUY IT! Worth every penny!

I am a picky consumer with high expectations. I have 3 big dogs; 2 of which shed enough to make fur multiple coats. I have owned all of the "must have" vacuums; the last one only a year, at which point it literally died. I received a referral to try this specific vacuum, which we just purchased within the past month. I simply LOVE everything about it. There is nothing I would change and it performs every advertised function with ease and no hassle.\r\nI am constantly astounded at the amount of dog hair it easily and consistently picks up. I do not ever see myself buying a different vacuum.

This vacuum really stands up to the test with pet hair, It has great suction and works well with all the attachments. Once you get the hang of how all the parts "lift away" it transitions quickly from under furniture to high above and it works great on stairs, carpet and hard wood. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is that the on/off button is a bit hard to push for older not so strong hands and I would have liked to have a soft brush attachment for the wand. It is a very good product I have used it for about 3 months.

This is a great vacuum. Very powerful suction. I ran it over carpet I had already cleaned and was amazed at how much more dirt and hair it pulled up. Great for pet owners like me. The swivel mechanism makes it very mobile. The lift away feature is very easy to use and makes cleaning stairs and furniture a breeze. Nice assortment of attachments. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the small size of the cleaning head. Takes a bit more time to clean larger rooms with such a small head.

I've only used it twice hut it works amazingly!!! I'll update if anything negative happens with it in the near future. Hoping it holds up. I have 3 longhaired cats and 2 messy teens so I put vacuums thru alot. But the suction is incredible. And the self propelling is so cool. I didn't even know it had that. The color is fabulous too! Love having a fun color vacuum. Shark vacuums in general have always been amazing in my experience. This one is my 3rd and I suspect it'll be my favorite.

Has different levels for hard floors and thin or thick carpets. I have dogs, cats, and kids so the HEPA filter system has been a game changer for us. The suction is great and compared to my last vacuum it picks up everything my last one missed in my carpets. Highly recommend and completely matches the price! The only flaw I have noticed is the cord could be a touch longer but I just added an extension cord which does the trick.

First time using a Shark, I had a bad experience w another brand, our home is all tiled but with 2 space large rugs so I needed a vaccum with those two features, also, one that didn’t require mustle power to use, I read alot of the reviews and decided to purchase. I have only had my vacuum for a day but so far I love it! I couldn’t wait to put it together ( which is super easy) and try it out. I was a little skeptical because of the price but I am so glad that I purchased it. This is the first Shark vacuum cleaner that I have owned and I am sold. Shark simply makes a superior vacuum product at a fair price. I've owned a Dyson, which is more than twice as expensive; I've owned an Oreck which is also more expensive; as well as other brands. No vacuum I have ever owned can touch the Shark. They just make superior products at a fair price. Their suction power is better; they don't lose suction; they can be cleaned internally easily; they don't require bags - they're simply the best.

I have had this vacuum for at least 10 years! It always picks up all of the pet hair without missing anything. Its light enough to carry between floors and can get into every crevice with all of the tools. I even have the extra part that turns it into a canister vacuum, so it can be wheeled around and go under all of our furniture. I’ll taking care of my girlfriend‘s house when she was out of town. I was using her vacuum which happened to be a sharp rotator professional lift away vacuum from her hair salon. I never realized what I was missing in the quality that they come in my carpets have never look so clean and talk about picking up things on the regular floor. It’s awesome. The price was right in my budget and I a picture would recommend.

I love this vacuum so much, I use it daily. It picks up so much dirt and hair, which we have a lot of in my house (dogs). I am honestly impressed daily by its abilities and I’ll never purchase a different vacuum as long as I live. \nThe lift away feature is great for stairs, corners or any hard to reach places. I am a professional cleaner and I won't choose another vacuum. First and foremost, the suction is incredible; you'll pick up dirt your last vacuum left…for real! Bought this for our new home and it does a great job on both hard floor and carpet. Suction is great with upright as well as wand. Easy to maneuve, lights are really helpful on all surfaces. I have had several Sharks and have given them to my kids and church (all still working!) Great product at a good price.

I replaced my previous Shark rotator with the same model. This newer one has an extra clean out hatch. I had the other rotator for 15 years. i love having washable filters. and Lift away feratures. The original vac didn't quit, it;s been down graded to garage and basement. Love sharl products!

Smart purchase. Great vaccum if you have pets. We have used this vaccum a lot to keep the dog hair under control. The furniture attachment is fantastic. The amount of dirt that this vaccum picks up is incredible. I will say it is a little bit heavy for my wife, but is still manageable.

Excellent vacuum. It's my second of this model, because I worked the first one to death over 10 years. No need to spend twice as much on a Dyson - this is at least as good. Only complaint is cord is shorter than on the older model.
