Good chair but not perfect

This chair is better than I expected. It is very adjustable and I like that it has a setting for me to sit up straight and that the seat is not super deep like all the other ones I've tried. I can't believe how hard it is to find a chair that fits shorter people. Why do all these companies think everyone is tall and only make chairs to fit them? But although this seat is not perfect for shorter people, the lumbar fits well enough and the seat has enough cushion. Time will tell how long the cushion stays this way before I can feel the bottom. I like the arm grooves in the arm rest. Never had one with these before and I find I like this. I don't like how wide the seat is and how wide the arm rests are. And yes, I have them tightened at the closest setting. I like the arm rests at the highest setting to rest my arms on while I'm typing all day but the width does not make for very comfortable lengthy use for me. I like to roll myself from my desk to my file cabinet or bookshelf to get something I need but these wheels do not roll well on hardwood when I'm sitting in it. I might end up changing them out. Overall this chair is a good value and I will keep it for now.

Multi-tilt locking recline is the best feature of this chair. You can independently tilt and lock the seat and/or seat back at multiple different angles. Perfect for anyone that doesn't want to constantly push off of a wall or footrest to lean back. It is affordable, comfortable, and supportive in addition to looking very sleek. \nAlthough you can adjust the back height, I wish it had a headrest. I'm only 5' 1” and use the highest back setting but am still not able to rest my head on the chair while keeping eye level with my monitors. Not a huge deal as fortunately I have neck muscles to support this big noggin. \nTaller people probably won't be as thrilled as me about the overall performance but it is a solid chair. Instructions were very easy to follow.

So I read a lot of the reviews before I bought this chair and did a lot of research. Some of the reviews stated that the chair pushed them forward while they sat. There is a lever on the bottom of the chair that you can change to adjust your seat back setting. That resolves that issue. My co-worker had no problem putting it together in about twenty minutes. \nThe chair is very comfortable, the seat is firm but I think that will take some breaking into as it has a lot of cushion. \nI love how the arm rests adjust enough for me to roll under my desk. \nOverall, I think this was the best chair for the amount of money I spent. Walmart had the best pricing.

While the chair has lots of adjustments the annoying part for me is that when you tilt the seat back the armrests go with it which creates an awkward angle for your wrist using a mouse and causes pain. So you have to choose between a comfortable seat angle or wrist angle. The armrests also don't go low enough for my arms to be at a comfortable position which is causes scrunched shoulders and leads to pain. But the worst part is a defect… one side of the chair is lower so my hips are getting misaligned and my right arm rests lower. The holes where the back screws in are also misaligned so the back support is crooked. Overall I am disappointed with this chair and will be looking for a new one. Hoping Staples will see this and let me exchange it or get a refund.

It doesn't tilt back and forth when you lean forward and back. It is able to be unlocked and you can tilt it to wherever you want it then you have to lock it again or it tilts you right off the chair because it tilts the seat down toward the ground like alllll the way. If you don't want it to tilt and want it locked then this chair is fine.

Has a lot of adjustments but like most office chairs this thing feels like a medieval torture device after a few hours. The biggest problem for me and everyone is going to be annoyed by something different is the spacing of the arms. The instructions say the arm width is adjustable. Technically they are but they only adjust about a half inch left or right not enough to make much of a difference. Is this a bad chair? Not at all. It checks may boxes. It's just not an all day chair. It will feel great for twenty minutes at the store but once you get it and its an all day thing you'll be moving around and constantly adjusting looking for the right adjustments and positions.

This chair was easy to put together and has a number of convenient adjustments. The arm rests are much too far apart for me and are not comfortable. Haven't found an adjustment that makes the chair suitable for long stretches of use (few consecutive hours) though it's fine for shorter tasks.

I wish the seat pan was a little deeper. I like the front of it to go all the way to my knees. Raising the seat back up as high as it will go allowed me to scoot back a bit further, though not quite as far as needed. Apart from that, it's a great chair. Absolutely can't beat the price.

I bought this chair a few times already for different home offices. I like the price, comfort, design and advanced functionality; tilt and recline lock, height adjust, tilt tension. This is not a junk chair... it's a "real" office chair. This is an economical chair that lasts and I can work in it all day.

I've had this chair for almost 10 years and I recently repurchased it. It's still very comfortable. great customization for the price. it's not perfect, but very good for the price. I'm 5'3 and I think it's still a little too high for me at the lowest setting. I think it's perfect for 5'4 or 5'5+

Many chairs that appear to be similar sell for $20 or $25 less than this one, but it's well above them in terms of quality. It's an excellent design with many parts adjustable to fit people of different sizes. My wife bought two: one for the office and another at the house.

This chair makes working from home so much better! Not sure why I suffered through a crappy chair until now. I like the flexibility of removing the arm rests if it does not fit with the desk height. The adjustments for seat height, and angle are great.
