The instructions did not include how to install the paper roll. (This was essential for a printing calculator.) It was only after some hours of unsuccessful attempts, that I found a YouTube video completely devoted to How to install the paper roll And WHERE the paper needed to be inserted!! The paper must be inserted in an unmarked, extremely slim slot on the back side of the calculator, with a width exactly that of the paper to be inserted. Without the help of the video, most purchasers would NEVER have found it! Since the accompanying instructions never offered this help, one has to assume that the major goal of the Sharp brand is to make their sale and the customer is free to be completely without a clue for successful prepping of the machine to be activated. If all of the above was not enough, once the calculator was ready for use, the NOISE level of each action of calculating makes one wish for a muffler! It does NOT sound as though it's delivering advanced tech of *********! Ugh.

Replaced the exact same adding machine that was over 20 years old that I sadly spilled an entire glass of ice tea on. This one has a slight delay as it is a LCD display which is different and not as responsive. It is “plastic” and feels plastic. Don't expect it to still be operating smoothly in 20 years.

I got the Sharp EL-2630PIII printing calculator to replace the same model calculator I have been using since 1971 and it still works, but is having a few problems. This is a really nice calculator and works very much like my old "work horse". My only problem is the printed totals are too low to see easily, but I can always raise the tape until I can see the figures so it is not that big a deal. I'm very pleased with being able to still get so close a replacement.

Extremely reliable and user-friendly brand of calculator/adding machine. The keys are a good size, you can easily read the numbers and fast adding/calculating and printing works like a charm. I do accounting work and have used the Sharp brand for many years. I tried a cheaper Victor brand and it was a dud, sent it back. I highly recommend this Sharp calculator. You cannot go wrong with a Sharp!

I like they key layout on this machine. I had bought another more expensive Sharp adding machine however the total key was where the clear key is on this machine. I was used to having the clear key in the location it is on this machine so I was very happy with this machine. I also like that you can set the decimal. I am very happy with this machine.

I have been using this calculator for over 25 years in the accounting profession. Have tried other calculators but this one can keep up with numeric entries even at super fast entry. They call me bionic fingers. Keys are arranged for maximum performance with detailed options for specific tasks. It goes everywhere I do and never jams up.

The ROLL of paper is so small it's ridiculous...Be sure to order rolls of paper for this machine or you won't get very far. Also the ink is so light I can barely see the printout!! Did not give an extra ink cartridge.\nI had several of these calculators over the years and this one is inferior...It is so light compared to my old one...I also do not like the fact that the electric cord was changed...I hate having yet another extra cord that is loose and not connected...The is more than double what I paid for my last one...SHARP EL-1801V used to be the best calculator for home use...VERY DISAPPOINTED...Nothing you buy these days is the same quality it used to be!

It works well and is exactly what I was looking for to replace my Texas Instruments adding machine that I had to retire. The keys are well-spaced, and arranged just the way they should be. The digital readout and the printed tape are both easy to read. The tape is easy to load. Overall, it's a great product for the money.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had my calculator for years got it when it first came out. Took good care of it by using a dust cover and it worked great up until today. The machine is one of the best on the market. I fully intend to get another one just like it from Sharp.

Easy to set up. People just read the directions. It does not have a battery option. That wan't important to me. I'd rather plug it in and not have to mess with batteries. I'm even teaching my 5 year old how to use it, and she loves it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is the perfect product for my home bookkeeping business. Gets the job done with no complaints. Really like the print/no print feature. Instructions can be sketchy at times, but I most likely won't use most of those features anyway. Bottom line, I like it, and the price was right.
