[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Brother ADS-4900W Professional Desktop Scanner was a great addition to my peripheral devices and is now an essential component in my home office setup. This printer zips thru scanning multiple documents with a 100 page capacity feeder and blazing 60 page per minute. I was quite surprised at how fast it scanned documents at high quality. It even handles stacks of paper with various sizes and weights with ease. The 4.3” color touchscreen display is super bright, easy to read, easy to use, and conveniently place right in the front middle of the scanner. Wireless setup was a breeze and connecting to it wirelessly was just as easy. In fact, I didn't even need the instruction manual to go from manual setup to wireless printing. It literally took a few minutes and I was done. Furthermore, I was able to setup the scanner to scan to my applications Google Drive™ and to my email. The OCR feature is most impressive and the software the come with it allows you to scan to searchable PDF's. This is the product I never thought I needed and I'm so very impressed with it.

The hardware itself is best in class no doubt about that. Downside is that while the most basic scanning functionality is available for an M4 Mac running Sonoma, the more robust Brother Control Center software is not available for the Mac OS. At this price point thatâs not something I can live with. Also, while the scanning speed in pages per minute of this scan scanner is outstanding, if youâre only scanning one page or several pages or even a couple of dozen pages at a time that hardly matters. You do need some bit of technical skills to set up all of the scannerâs functionality. Yes it will scan to FTP or SMB or email, but the user manuals are not at all clear how thatâs done so you need prior technical skills. And the one touch scanning feature is lacking in my view, although the scanner is blazing fast once it starts, it takes about three seconds for scanning to actually start and so no that doesnât seem like a long time, but I found it irritating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brother professional desktop scanner is my favorite machine for the office. It came easy to set up with very clear and precise directions. The machine is small and light, allowing me to put it almost anywhere in my office. I was very surprised how simple it was to set up and connect to my devices. The Wi-Fi works extremely well and is easy to pair. The speed at which it scans is phenomenal! I downloaded the app on my phone and the quality of each page scanned is excellent. I love the curved paper tray, making it so the papers exiting do not fly out. The input tray easily adjust to sizes and can handle multiple pages fast! I've never seen a scanner work so fast and be so clear with the output. I'm very pleased and recommend this scanner to anyone looking to save time in the office. Excellent product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this Brother ADS-4900W scanner in our busy medical practice. With medical records being predominantly electronic these days, we often have a need to scan and upload a large volume of outside reports and records into our EMR software. This scanner is able to scan and upload a high volume of paper very quickly. Set up was't too complicated or time consuming. The unit itself is compact and takes up a minimal amount of desk space and runs pretty quietly. There are lots of options to customize this scanner, including a workgroup feature, and the ability to scan from an IPhone or Android phone. There are also several scan-to options that include email and cloud capabilities. Even with the basic default settings, this machine is a real workhorse.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this a few days ago and I have already used it so much. I sometimes work from home, and I do a lot of emailing and scanning. Everything is paperless at my job. The brother desktop scanner is great, it scans a lot of paperwork at once and makes my work life at home so much easier. The set-up is very easy, it only took me about 10 minutes to set it up and get started. If you are thinking about buying this product, you should, you will not be disappointed.

I scan a lot of documents daily working from home and this scanner has been able to keep up with the workload. It is very quick and easy. I used to use an app on my phone and have to email it to myself to get it on my computer and now with this there is no need and it's so much easier. I am very happy with this scanner.

I was actually expecting it to be larger but it is easy to move and can fit right on my desk. It is light and easy to move also. It has a nice display screen. I love how compact this system is. It is very easy to unpack and set up. The convenience of being able to fit on smaller desks or surfaces is wonderful. The machine works extremely fast and proficient. One page to multiple pages T this machine has never let me down. Is wireless and can also work without a pc by using a flash drive. You can also scan double sided documents. It also remove any blank documents should you put them in the pile by mistake.

The scanner is very good. Confirmed 60ppm at 300x300 resolution for simplex and duplex without skip blank page or any other post-processing. Crisp error-diffusion grayscale at 300x300 resolution.\n\nOnly problem: I must manually nudge a full feeder to get the first ten pages through the scanner. That's it.

Purchased this to replace an HP scanner that broke. It offered comparable versatility build quality and features, including nearly equivalent fast scanning speed at a much better price. Scanning software is not quite as feature rich ans HO. It and has primitive UI, but it does the job and is reliable.

When I'm scanning 2-sided documents that are smaller than 8.5"x11", the scanner automatically flips them on the right edge instead of the left edge. I have to fix the scans in Adobe Acrobat. This problem only happens when I use the scanner's desktop software, iPrint&Scan. When I scan to USB using the scanner's control panel, there's no option to include OCR. When I scan to Web using the scanner's control panel, there's no option to scan in black-and-white. There are no options to compress scans larger than 300 dpi, so they files become too large. It's a great machine, but with limitations.

It is a power tool and it's easy yo use; it has some issues with the PC software, like when the size of the files is too big, the program crashes, otherwise it works for demanding work, and it looks like a pro tool in the office too and not that bulky. The mobile app is really useful so you can save the files wherever you need to.

It took a LOT of downloading to get the scanner to do what we needed it to do for work, but once we got past all of that, this machine flies when loading documents. I have never seen a scanner go that fast! It does not jam and it sends the documents to the destination within seconds. It is heavy duty and very efficient.

Would not recommend. Interface is awful, screen is terrible. Scanner is slow and support is no good. Love my Brother printers but this expensive scanner is awful. Brother should get a Raven scanner and take note of GUI interface and scanner screen
