After hemming and hawing for over a year about purchasing this dishwasher I finally broke down and purchased it. Reviews were mixed on the single drawer and not many purchase the double drawer so I was really on edge about the purchase seeing as it is a rather pricey model. I fell in love with the look the first time I saw it online/in store and even more in love with it once it was installed in our home! It is such a beautiful unit and I can not wait to replace the rest of my appliances with the Cafe line. I purchased the white and it is just beautiful in kitchen that has white cabinets. In the two weeks we have had the double drawer dishwasher I have used it probably 4 times total. I have used the bottom drawer only once to make sure it actually cleans and it does. The top drawer is the one I use the most and it does exactly what it is suppose to do. I will say that figuring out how to use it took some frustration and patience. I wish there was a video with step by step instructions! The Start Up guide was a little confusing to me. Once I figured it out all was well. The top drawer is a little tough to pull out. I feel like I might yank the handle bar off at times. The bottom drawer is easy to open. The drying overall is pretty decent. I use drying agent as directed and use a cleaning pod as directed. So far everything has come out clean and mostly dry. I have the unit set for Ultra Dry and depending on what is in the washer dictates on how dry everything is. If it has a ridge where water can collect it does. That is to be expected though. I do wish that the interior was stainless steel seeing as the unit cost so much but I can overlook that because it is so pretty and actually cleans. Others complain that they can not tell when the unit is done washing. That for me is a non issue since I load in the evenings and unload the next day. Loading does take some getting use to. You have to be careful on how you load items as to not block the water source on the bottom. It does not hold a full size cookie sheet but I tend to wash those by hand anyways. The top unit and bottom unit used together probably holds the same amount of dishes of a regular single door but I have not had enough dishes to really care about that. I have yet to run both the top and bottom at the same time and probably never will. I would say that this dishwasher is great for those with fewer dishes to wash that do not want to waste water washing smaller loads in a single door dishwasher. As for sound it is one of the quietest dishwashers we have ever had which is a major plus seeing as we have an open concept. I can faintly hear it while standing in the kitchen. I can not hear it at all while sitting in the living room. I am hoping that it lasts 6-7 years or more. It seems these days that is about all you sadly get out of appliances anymore. It will be fabulous if it lasts longer! Time will tell. As of right now I am very very pleased with my purchase!! Next up on my wish list is the refrigerator.
