Just got my freezer today and it's exactly what I wanted. Large, but not huge... just perfect for storing all my frozen foods that simply don't fit in the slim freezer in my new side by side refrigerator. I did read all the reviews and agree that you really do need both hands to open the door - one to pull open the door and the other to hold onto the side of the freezer to keep the whole thing from moving towards you as you pull. But, unlike others, I don't find this to be a negative - I LIKE that the door seals nice and tight. I am going to have to order an additional wire shelf and an additional door shelf - you really do need one more of each to maximize use of the space.More

We've had the freezer close to a month and have enjoyed it. I I could change one thing about it, it would be to do something about the feet on it. The door has great suction & because the freezer is on a laminate floor, when I go to open it I have to have 2 hands. It slides away from the wall unless I use 2 hands to open it. Which means whatever I have to freeze goes on the floor so I can open it. I've tried a few things to try to eliminate this problem & will find a solution.\r\nOverall, this is just an inconvenience. I would buy it again.

I bought this a month ago to replace an old freezer that was 40 years old! I don't expect to get 40 years out of this new one, but I am very pleased, so far. The automatic defrost feature is a great improvement over the old appliance and the layout and shelf space is better organized. The low energy rating is also a plus. The delivery of the new freezer and removal of the old appliance was very smooth and professional.More

I bought this as me and my family wanted to have more freezer space than just the fridge freezer. So that we can make freezer meals and buy more things to keep on hand in the freezer as we have winter coming. I can't wait to fill up the freezer. This freezer is the perfect size love that it has an alarm and also has turbo freeze which is such a great feature.. So happy with my purchase.

I bought this without seeing it as my freezer died a couple weeks ago and I had to get one as soon as possible. I called the appliance store and they had this on the floor and was able to bring it in a few days. There is no handle on the front of the door. There is a slot on the side of the door which I have to use 2 hands to pull open the door. When pulling it, the freezer actually moves as it is hard to open.

My neighbor is the one I should thank for buying this Hotpoint freezer, as she insisted I needed one to stock up on not only meats, but produce I needed to freeze from my vegetable and fruit garden. This freezer does what it's supposed to do - keep food frozen. It's replacing a 65+ years old chest freezer during a home renovation, and it certainly makes finding items easier than digging in a chest. Adding a couple of bins hels keep things like zip-top bags of frozen veggies from falling out. It's also fairly quiet.

We bought this freezer about three weeks ago. It has been great, so far. Has a turbo freeze feature, which is very helpful for freezing large or multiple containers more quickly. My only issue is that the freezer slides when I try to open the door. A wall anchor would be helpful, so that the freezer would stay in place.

We replaced a working upright freezer because the old one - had to be defrosted even - was not energy efficient. It is almost too soon to evaluate how much less this freezer is using, but we're sure it does use less. It's the same size as the one we replaced, but it seems roomier. Maybe it's the lack of frost, but we love the layout. I also love the thought that I will never have to defrost it.

This freezer was installed quickly and cooled down within 1 hour. We are monitoring its energy usage and have found that it is very efficiently insulated to maintain temperatures within the freezer, as the electrical usage has been relatively low, when compared to our refrigerator. We are very happy with this freezer.

Works well. No Handle on door which makes it VERY hard to open. I am a small person, when I pull on insert on side door to open, the freezer literally slides out, like it’s on ice skates. Otherwise the storage inside is phenomenal. It holds a lot. I am happy with this purchase minus a few minor inconveniences.

I am happy with my Hotpoint Upright Freezer except for one vexing problem: the door seal is so effective that I've had real difficulty opening the freezer door. The freezer will roll forward when I try to open the door even when it is full. I literally have to hold the freezer back to open the door and that still requires considerable strength.

This is the perfect size for what I was looking for. The suction is great, sometimes too strong, need both hands to open. My only complaint is that it runs loud. I have it in the garage and I can hear it running in the living room, and it’s not against the wall.

The 13 cubic foot freezer was delivered on time and does a fine job of replacing the previous freezer which had performed well for more than thirty years. I do expect a reduced electric load due to the upgrade in freezer technology. We’ll see.
