I bought this model to replace my aging Artisan 730 which gave twenty years of service. I am very impressed with the similar functionality of this new printer. Its ability to scan at 600dpi allows for easy doubling in size for old family photos. I can scan either directly or to an SD card which is my preference. The touch screen commands are easily figured out. The duplex feed is different but easy enough. The printer is light years faster than my 730! As usual thought, the extended ink replacement cartridges are expensive albeit there are five when the old unit required six. The unit is smaller but a bit higher. I am very impressed with the photo quality as well. Imo, a great buy! The Apple Macintosh does not use the Windows provided disc but the drivers, utilities, firmware update are all on the Epson website for this model. Good support is also available from Epson. Very happy so far.

My business produces content for DVD distribution. Two things have changed in the past year: customers prefer content on a USB thumb drive; and my Primera Bravo SE failed and my Allstate product protection plan could not repair it. I went shopping and found this reasonably priced multifunction device that does what I need for DVD printing. I already have an Epson 3880 and V750 scanner, which I love. This doesn't replace them but gives me a convenient option for occasional color and B&W paper printing, scanning and printing the DVDs that I still need to deliver. That process is 1-off, but still gets the job done. And because it's not located in my upstairs office, now sitting on a credenza in the back room, my wife has easy access for the content she needs to print as a school teacher. It's a win-win. And the prints look pretty darned good.

The print quality is exceptional, the best of any home printer I've ever used. The scanner is great. The rear feed tray is perfect for cardstock/thicker types of paper. However, the ink cartridges are tiny, and expensive, and it feels like they run out about every other print. Worth it for someone who cares deeply about quality print media, get the ecojuice thing if not.

This is my third Epson printer. I love them for their photo quality, and just general use. The one thing that really discourages me with the printers is that there are so many different ink cartridges which are not compatible between the various models! It seems to me that compatible sizes of printers should all use the same ink cartridges!

This printer is a great buy. I have been using it to print photos to distribute to family members. I mostly print 4x6's and 5x7's. True colors. The tray arrangement is different than what I am used to. I wish the small tray held more paper. I have been using Glossy photo paper and it works well. Ink is a bit pricey.

Replacing 7100 printer with new 7100. Works as indicated. Excellent printer. Have not installed new one yet, but expect it to work like the current printer. I broke an ink tab on current printer, and waiting for the ink to run dry as the cartridge cannot be replaced. New 7100 still in the box.

There are a few plastic parts that I think could break easily. Also Epson setup instructions are extremely poor on unpacking. The second step is not at all well explained. Even videos leave people wondering and could cause unnecessary removal and perhaps a non functional machine.

I replaced an Epson Artisan 730 with this printer. It was easy to set up for Wireless connection. It prints great quality for photos as well as anything from the computer that I am saving for a copy. The ink has an oversized black cartridge which is great. The scan feature can go directly to the computer it says. I haven't tried that yet. There is a USB connection and a SD slot.\nThe control screen is easy to see. I do worry about the automatic paper receiving tray and the screen automatic positioning. So far that has not been a problem. The unit is also smaller than my last printer which is nice for my work space.

It is the best quality color photo printer currently on the market for home use, according to multiple ratings entities %26 my personal experience. It also has a great scanner built in. But I know from having used this model for the last five years, it does not do as well if you switch back %26 forth between plain paper documents %26 photo printing often, as you will need to repeatedly clean the print heads to restore photo quality, which wastes a lot of ink %26 shortens the life of the waste ink pads. Also, the paper feed in the cover doesn't work well, so don't get if that is a critical feature for you.

I bought this to replace an Expression XP-860 and I am somewhat disappointed with the performance when compared to what I had grown accustomed to with the XP-860. First and foremost the new scan program Scan 2.0 is a step backwards from the older Epson Scan. The granularity and options from the old program are missing. First there were 3 modes Home, Office and Professional and each had a number of options. Additionally, the Preview mode had a method to automatically select the image area after doing a full page scan and the original was only 4"x6' you could click on the auto button and the 4"x6" area would be selected. The last disappointment, and this was due to my lack of due diligence, there is no fax option, but this was the only reasonably priced Epson printer that could print dto CD/DVDs

I bought this to print onto discs, and it does that very well. Unfortunately, it is not an ink tank printer, so I have to buy expensive replacement cartridges. For the price, it's a good printer.

Basic printing is excellent, but, unlike my previous Epson printer, I am unable to figure out how to scan and chatting with AI is not helpful.

Epson offers this solid printer for a very affordable price, with the features one needs for daily use.

So many features for such a great price! Even the cartridges that come with the machine seem to be full-size...unlike most other printers. Print quality is outstanding %26 SD slot is a big plus. One Con... Rear paper slot takes only 1 sheet at a time. The tray holds plenty of paper but I like to print greeting cards and I don't think card stock l;ikes to be turned...small problem.

Excellent quality document printing. Suggestions: The output drawer should retract when the screen goes dark after many minutes of non-use. Also, there could be a "Done for Now" command executable from the computer that darkens the screen and retracts the output drawer. I'm not happy that loading a multi-page document in the automatic feeder results in reverse-order output pages. I'll be trying some presentation and CD disc printing soon and, if the quality of the output remains as good as with everyday documents, I'll up the rating to four stars. Happy with the purchase at this point.

I am very pleased with my new Epson 7100 printer. It is very easy to operate and the print quality is excellent. The feature I have used quite frequently during "Tax season" is the scanner. The scanning feature was easy to set up and even easier to use. I haven't had the opportunity to use the photo printing yet but expect it will work as well as the other features.

Amazing got it for the Scanner going to UPS or FedEx to Send or Fax a gang of paper will cost you your first born and a kidney to send paperwork. No thank I recommend the printing function don't use this as a printer the Ink is ridiculously expensive.

It’s supposed to be easy to set up, NOT! As it didn’t pop a little box on my screen like it said it would I had to get help connecting it to my laptop and I’m still having problems connecting it to my phone, it falls off the network! I even connected it too via Bluetooth by scanning the barcode on the printer , it works and then it doesn’t work as it falls offline! It prints beautiful photos! Unfortunately I was printing off paper copies and then went back to wanting to print more photos off of my phone and then the printer decided it didn’t want to print photos again!!! I don’t know what happened in that short time frame but now it won’t print again !!! It’s so frustrating!! Companies assume everyone is good at these electronic devices but not all of us are! I need my printer to work and without being so time consuming on trying to figure out why it’s not working this time! I never had this many problems with my awesome original Epson XP-820, that is until that “ink pad” was at the end of its service life!!! No one seems to know what that “ink pad” is in the printers!! I wished I could have just replaced that in my original printer!! I bought the same XP-820 refurbished, I will NEVER do that again!! That printer didn’t last but four months and that box came up saying “ink pad is at the end of service life”!! The printer would NOT work anymore!! It was even very difficult to get the new ink out of the printer, yep it had just made me put new ink in it before the ink pads end! I use my printer for both personal and business use and need a quality color printer. When I purchased my first Epson Premium color printer, I was hooked. Quality Color pictures, easy to use and affordable I price. I cannot be more happy.

I bought this same machine after having used a previous one for many years so I was very familiar with it. Love everything about. Very dependable and prints very good copies. I'll buy one again in the future when this one eventually dies.

We were looking for a good printer for printing photos for our family album, we bought the kodak portable printer before this and the quality was sub par but this epson printer does not disappoint. It's easy to setup and is easy to use

We've only used Epson printers. Meet and exceed all expectations. Self-service is made very easy by excellent support from Epson. WiFi is easy to setup, and works great. Speed and Print quality are unmatched in our experience.

I normally use Canon printers but I wanted something different so I chose this one because a friend of mine has one. After my first couple of uses, I got used to it quite quickly and love the way it works.

I've always had a good experience with Epson printers. Easy to set up and print quality is where it needs to be. Do not update firmware on Epson printers if you want to use aftermarket ink cartridges.

Excellent! It took a little while to set everything up including each ink color. It was quite easy though. The pictures that we printed were sharp and crisp. We are very pleased with our purchase!

So far, so good. Full color paint quality in very good. Setup was very simple and can connect to wifi or use a network plug. Will update this review after a few months of real use.
