To begin with, I am giving a rating a 3 based on the following -\n\n1. Size (Positive)\n2. Price (Positive)\n3. Delivery (Positive)\n4. Installation (Negative)\n5. Sales Personnel at Best Buy (Negative)\n6. Overall condition of the product as advertised by Best Buy (Negative)\n\nI was shopping for a refrigerator and had narrowed down my options to side-by-side ones because the 3 or 4 doors were too big and seemed to be taking a lot of space away. This side-by-side I came across at Best Buy checked a lot of boxes. The size at 24.5cu.ft was a decent one for my needs. I liked the fact that this was Stainless Steel and advertised at around $500 below the "New" condition (mine was listed as a Floor Model in Excellent Condition).\nI had asked the Sales person at the store to tell me if there were any damages for which he stated there is none and that it was in "Excellent" condition as mentioned on the sticker. I trusted him and went ahead and paid. When the unit arrived home (delivered as scheduled with no delays), I noticed there was a huge dent on the back (to the side) of the unit. The delivery folks stated they picked it up as is from the store and are delivering it and that they know nothing of it. When I read through the Best Buy terms for when an item is listed in "Excellent" condition, it states that it should be free from dents, scratches or scruffs when mine was clearly not. Also, this was listed as a "Floor Model", but I found some sort of food particles in the fridge and I had to extensively clean the whole unit soon after it was delivered. Not the kind of experience I want to go through for an "Excellent" condition "Floor Model" unit (must have been a return from a customer or something, which is again a miss by the Sales personnel or the Manager of this particular Best Buy location).\nI also noticed that the non-freezer side door was popping slightly out when compared to the freezer door. Everything seems to be working in the fridge (even the doors seem to be shut tight) but I still think that the doors need to be leveled up. This is where I had an issue with the installation of this unit. It seems a bit squeaky when I open that side of the door indicating that the leg might need to be adjusted for it to sit flush on the floor. The delivery personnel were in a rush to get my signature and leave and did not pay attention to the level issue I was mentioning. Isnt that part of their installation procedure where they ensure that the refrigerator is not wobbly or in this case squeaking when left at the consumers location?\nOverall this experience with BestBuy has been far from being satisfactory. I am glad I bought my washer/dryer from another store that were more courteous with prompt communications being sent to me. When those delivery guys were in, they called up an Executive who then verified with me over the phone on the installation and that there was no damage during the process. That felt good, however, Best Buy's wasnt along those lines. Most of my issues thus far has been with Best Buy's Sales, delivery and installation and not the actual product itself. I bought three year warranty on this unit and so I am going to wait to see how it performs. If it starts to give me issues, I am having it returned right back. I might contact Whirlpool to have someone sent over to check on the doors not being in alignment. I will provide an update on the product itself, once I have used it for some time. I wanted to write this review so other buyers who are somewhat crunched for cash, when looking to get a Floor Model or any fridge in "Excellent" condition from Best Buy, please do your due diligence. Insist on the Sales personnel to show you the actual condition of the item you are intending to buy because you could be in for a surprise when the unit you ordered gets delivered to you. Thanks!

We've had this refrigerator for about six weeks, and it has been working just fine. Doing everything you expect a refrigerator to do. There are little things that have become annoying and it makes me question the overall quality. When it was delivered, it was missing one of the shelves that mount onto the door. Home Depot's solution to that problem was to either have them deliver a brand new refrigerator as a replacement (which is insane that's even an option), or call Whirlpool and deal with them. So I called Whirlpool and the entire phone call took over 90 minutes. This was just to ask for a shelf that was missing. I was put on hold multiple times, transferred to multiple people. When I called to follow up on the status, they could tell me it was shipped, but couldn't provide any tracking number. So I can't really say anything good about Whirlpool customer service. The refrigerator is on wheels and there is no way to lock them. When we open the doors, the refrigerator rolls out about an inch. Just really annoying especially because it starts interfering with one of our cabinets opening. It looks like some models have legs that lower to prevent this from happening, but this one doesn't. There is ice that has been building up on the inside of the freezer in a strange spot. It builds up on the left side near the bottom of the door (pictures). All of this just adds up to an OK product. Not sure if I'd recommend it to anyone.

Based on this past experience I purchased a Whirlpool again because I wanted a side-by-side without water dispenser and ice maker.\n\nThe Good...\n1) Has ample space.\n2) Has sufficient door shelves and inside shelves.\n3) Does not have an ice maker and water dispenser.\n\nThe Bad...\n1) It is LOUD when it runs and it runs pretty often. My earlier Whirlpool was much quieter than this one. This is consistent with what others have reported.\n2) The crisper drawers are cheaply made. They don't sit flush with the edge of the shelf and there is a gap between the shelf and the drawer lip. This seems like poor quality control checks.\n3) The crisper drawers don't slide in and out smoothly like my previous Whirlpool. They stick so have to be careful to not break them.\n4) The stainless-steel finish is a fingerprint magnet. It's very difficult to keep it clean.\n5) No deli drawer like my previous Whirlpool.\n\nIt's less than a month since I bought it. Hoping it will run for years without giving any issues.

I purchased this unit to replace a nearly identical model that died after 5 years. The new fridge sits extremely low to the floor, with the frame resting a tight 1/16" from the floor. I have spent over 3 hours on the phone with Whirlpool representatives to confirm if the rollers have an adjustment mechanism and no one from Whirlpool can confirm or deny this. I have been told to adjust the leveling feet, which this model does not have. I was then told that it has no leveling feet, but they were unsure if the rollers could be adjusted. The last rep tried to sell me a warranty in case I damaged it while trying to tighten the hex bolt for what may be a lifter mechanism for the rollers. How does the manufacturer not know this information? Whirlpool, if you read this, please confirm this information here and do not ask me to call you again. This should be a simple yes or no question. \n\nAdditionally, the fridge had silicone grease globs EVERYWHERE inside the unit and required extensive cleaning with Goo Gone to clean this up so it did not transfer around the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a few months now. We're happy with the refrigerator but not ecstatic. Our last unit (Whirlpool aka Kenmore) lasted a long time (23 years!) so hats off to Whirlpool on that score. The ice maker dispenser failed and I didn't feel like replacing it. The new 'fridge is basically the SAME model! But--my mistake--the freezer is substantially smaller. Probably to allow for more insulation and, thereby, better efficiency. We've adapted, but the freezer is PACKED. It's just the two of us; I'd be cautious about this size for a larger family. One real oddity; the fridge door SLAMS OPEN. I thought the bottles in the door might break the first time it happened. And that the hinges would be ripped off the frame. Honest to God! So after a few times of that, we always open the door all the way, by hand. Only other complaint is that the ice dispenser spews the ice a little. Hard not to end up with some on the floor. Maybe we'll get better at it. LOL

We've had this fridge for a couple of months now. It looks great (although it's easy to smudge the finish). It keeps food cold the way it should. I'd be giving it a higher rating but for one thing: the noise. I went through the reviews and saw quite a few comments about noise so I expected there to be some. But I have to admit that it's noisier than I expected. It was that way from day one, so it's not like it's an issue with dust on the compressor or something. We have another property with a different Whirlpool fridge and it's pretty quiet. So why is this one so noisy? Come on, Whirlpool, you can do better! I think you should do a recall and add some sound insulation around the compressor or, alternatively, replace the compressor with a different version that is quieter. I'd like to hear your thoughts on. My 90 day return period is coming up later this month and I need to make a decision soon. I don't really to go that way, but the buzz from this refrigerator is crazy.

Here are my issues, or rather, the reason for 3 stars:\n\n--The icemaker spits out cubes with such force that some go to the floor. Crazy. and it is LOUD when making ice.\n--The installers said "you are good to go." Not so. A few days after using the icemaker, it spit our chunks of Styrofoam. Yuck. We did not see it beforehand nor were we warned to look for it.\n--The freezer is just TOO small. \n--The plastic protective covering does not come off 100%. There are plastic leftovers in some of the seals and is sticking out. The installers just said, "good luck with that. Maybe use a tweezers." Stupid packaging. see pic below. \n--The sides of the refrigerator are NOT stainless steel like the doors. They are rather ugly. Previously I bought a Whirlpool range, dishwasher and microwave. None of those appliances had metal like that. It was all beautiful black stainless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator was installed in a New construction house that I bought. It would not have been a refrigerator. I would've picked if I'd taken time to look at it a bit more. Inside shelving is limited on how you can arrange the shelves. The tall shelf is at the very top which will hold your milk cartons. Having a limited ability to lift items, I found this extremely difficult to deal with. Also, the ice/water on the front of the refrigerator is poorly designed. It will only accommodate a small glass. To get the ice in a larger cup, you have to tip the glass and it quite often hits the water lever is depressed causing a huge mess. The freezer space is OK. All in all, this is a refrigerator that might be OK as a backup or a first refrigerator. It does have some poor design issues. Perhaps that's why it was in a new construction home.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This fridge is just okay overall. At 21 cu. ft., it feels a bit small, especially if you have a family or do a lot of grocery runs. That said, one of the main reasons I went with this model is that it's short enough to fit under my kitchen cabinet without needing to dismantle or modify anything – which saved me a big headache.\n\nPerformance-wise, it's not the strongest. The water dispenser has low pressure, so it takes a while to fill up a glass. Ice production is also pretty slow – don't expect it to keep up if you use a lot of ice daily.\n\nIf you're tight on space and need something compact that still looks decent, it might be a good fit. But if storage and performance are top priorities, you might want to look elsewhere.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a nice fridge for the price. We love a side by side with ice maker and water in the door. The lighting is great. It has a recirculating fan that runs almost all of the time, and shuts off temporarily when you open the door. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts. We did get an extended warranty so hopefully it will be covered if it should fail. The biggest complaint is that the opening for the ice maker/water dispenser is too small. We have Yeti 32 oz mugs and they don\u2019t fit. Our old GE they fit very well. We end up spraying ice everywhere. Otherwise so far we have been happy with the fridge. We trust Whirlpool and hope that trust continues.

Bought this fridge 2 months ago to replace the same style we had for 20 years as we felt we could rely on Whirlpool for quality. Overall the fridge is satisfactory except the ice and water dispensers. The ice as others have mentioned spills all over. The water releases 1-3 drips after filling a glass and unless you stand and wait for it, it runs down the front of the freezer door to the floor as there is no catch tray as our old one had. Had service out today to see if there was something wrong with the water line and was told there was nothing that could be done, was simply a bad design with no removeable catch tray. Will have to rethink the brand going forward.

It was still more cubic feet than my top freezer model, but because of the narrowness of the freezer, storage is more difficult and inconvenient. My previous Whirlpool had an easy to remove bottom panel. On this model, in order to remove the lower panel and clean the condenser coils, screws must be removed. They are difficult to access, and the screws are small, and not magnetic. I fear they will be stripped before the frig wears out. Clips would be useful. Dog hair affects the cooling, so it is a problem for me.

The door bins are very spacious and hold much product and are adjustable. The icemaker shutoff switch is hard to find and access. The ice bin isn't labeled very well for removal and the instructions show 5 different models, very confusing.\nThe LED lighting is very good in the refrigerator and freezer. The water dispenser should be longer and a more visible color.\nMy last Whirlpool was 22 years old and worked great. It was rusting on the freezer door and looked bad in a very faded white exterior.

For example, on the freezer side there are three glass shelves, but only one basket. We added a plastic basket onto one of the glass shelves to increase the usable storage space for the frozen food. On the refrigerator side the interior lighting is harsh and not well balanced. The light is located in the back right corner shining outwards, into the person's face. This is uncomfortable and also causes shadows. A single LED strip across the front, out of direct view of the person, would be an obvious improvement.

One problem is that the water from the dispenser tastes like chlorine. I checked to be sure the filter is installed correctly and it is. Pure water is very important to our family. Since we can taste the chlorine, we wonder what other impurities might also be in the water. I hope you can improve your water filters. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It cools. I’m not sure if the door gaskets are right as the freezer side is more compact which makes the doors slightly uneven upon closing. We didn’t notice this until the installers left. Getting service where we live is difficult at best (30 -70 miles) so we’re giving it a bit. The in door water/ ice dispenser works, but you can’t have a tall cup fit to get ice, tilting works, though. The water dispenser works but is so close to the front, that you can’t take the cup away too quickly or water will drip down the cup and floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn’t recommend this too strongly. Of note, the temperature is very inconsistent I put multiple thermometers in due to food safety concern. It is also loud all day and dispenses lukewarm water. The doors are uneven as well and it came with multiple dings and scratches. The cabinets inside the door of the fridge are cheap plastic—not the quality I expected for the price. That said it was one of the few options that fit in our space and had the door type needed, so if you are in a bind, it does fit smaller spaces.

There are 2 things that could be improved:\n1/ Drawers on the right side don’t have tracks so when we pull them out or close them, it is not smooth because it’s plastic ơn plastic. \n2/ The right door swings open all the way out whenever we open the fridge. Capacity - The freezer has much smaller capacity and is much narrower than my old refrigerator. \n\nShelving -Tthe refrigerator shelves are not good quality - I actually took the shelves out of my old Whirlpool and used those. \n\nConfiguration - Poor design for digital controls for the freezer and fridge temperature. Too easy to change them without even noticing you're doing it. Right next to controls for the light and type of ice. Beautiful refrigerator with easy to use ice and water dispenser. You can easily adjust the temperature for both sides to suit your preferences. Drawers don’t slide smoothly but not a deal breaker since the content weight helps hold it in place while opening and closing. Only complaint is that the refrigerator shelves are not adjustable so taller items are forced to the door storage. When you have a restricted area for height/width and need a smaller refrigerator, this works well. Love the front dispenser lighting, a nice ambient touch for using as a night light.

Of course, I need more time with it in my house to give an excellent or lesser rating. No complaints so far. I love the top sliding shelf in the refrigerator, the HUGE amount of product I can put in the door, the ease of using the ice bucket off the door to pour into ice buckets for parties and the easy to keep clean finish (so important to me). The freezer has so much space I don't have to limit myself in shopping anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good fridge, I love how many door pockets there are to hold multiple sauces as well as pull out drawers. I will say that we are more used to a bottom freezer fridge with a double door fridge. We just meal prep in various ways so it does get a little full fairly quickly. I like having the option for crushed ice which is new for us and of course, I love the locking feature for my small child. It's been a life saver as they always walk by the fridge and try to hit for ice or water.

In order to fit orange juice, iced tea, and iced coffee containers into the refrigerator I had to remove the top shelf, reducing the storage capacity of the refrigerator. Also even when the refrigerator and freezer compartments were fully loaded the refrigerator still moved around when I pulled the handles to open the doors. There were no instructions about how to stop the refrigerator from moving.

We sometimes inadvertently hit the water dispenser when trying to get ice, and water spills out onto the side of the refrigerator. Sadly, it happens fairly frequently. Also, the filter is in an inconvenient place and it makes it more difficult to change. It would best inside the refrigerator (even though it would take up some space).

You cannot move the shelves. so your gallon milk goes on the top shelf and that takes up the lighting or goes in the door which only hold large products bangs open every time.
