This is our third HP laser printer. over the last 31 years. Our first one was bought in 1994. We had tried different inkjet printers, but none were very reliable, and durability was lacking. None lasted more than a year or so. We always came back to HP Laser printers\nI like this latest version, except for the ink ( toner) buying system. HP seems to want to have a monopoly on selling VERY expensive toner, so has made it difficult to buy aftermarket toner cartridges, and on some printers, made buying it automatic, as a condition of using their printers. I don't agree with this, even though It is no big thing to me, I don't use a printer often enough to worry about it. However, it irks me that a company would use underhanded schemes like this to make more money, and eliminate competition in the toner marketplace.

HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101fdw starts the print quickly from the ECO mode. The most significant difference is the print quality, which has a distinctive texture on the printed paper. The connection and initial setup were easy, as I just followed the mobile application on the phone. The physical shape is more rectangular with minimal height, so the space-saving compared to my old printer is about 30%. The design itself is simple and minimal, with two-tone colors. It looks modern and has a clean feeling. Therefore, there are no issues matching other items in my home office. The touch panel control is vivid and responsive to the touch. I have been using it for the last three months and haven't experienced any issues. I am pleased with this HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101fdw.

This is a good quality standard laser printer. My problem with HP is that my previous HP laser printer was perfectly good too, and working fine - but I had to throw it out because HP would "no longer support the software." This is a transparent trick to force customers to buy a product that should not be needed - "planned obsolescence." I was forced to consign a heavy piece of plastic and metal to contaminate the environment unnecessarily - irresponsible policy by HP! And my reserve laser cartridges are now useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3101sdw Black & White is a seamless experience. I am beyond impressed with this purchase. I bought this as we use HP laserjet printers at my work and thought it would be similar but I must say this one is better! I have used other printers in the past from various brands but this one has it all not to mention the wireless printing has really helped up throughout my time in grad school. The scanning feature has also been a tremendous help when scanning in and organizing my handwritten notes. Highly would recommend to anyone looking to buy a one stop shop for printing and scanning at home!

With a document feeder, you can easily scan documents as well.\n\nInstallation was a breeze. Just follows the prompts on its 2.7" screen. With a Mac, software install is equally simple. This is a great little black-and-white HP printer/scanner. It prints plenty fast for home use has double-sided printing, and the scanner works great. Not all the whistles and bells of other machines, but perfect for home use. Having only one toner cartridge keeps the price of printing manageable. Side note the machine is 20 1/2 inches with the scanner lid open.

Not easy to set up. The instructions aren't clear enough for someone who isn't tech savvy. I thought I had it, but it kept going to sleep, and I had to virtually start from scratch each time I wanted to use it! Not ideal for a 'remote' printer.. My computer guru son sorted it, though. It just doesn't sleep anymore!

It was delivered fast, securely and safely. Setup was easy and quick. Operating it is easy peasy. This printer is effective, efficient, speedy and does everything advertised (print, fax, copy, scan) very well. And printing is clean and clear. I highly recommend it, and love it, frankly. I don't read the instructions soooo so far I got my copier up and running easily,now there are items that I was used to from my cm1415 printer--- so now I have to find how I make darker/liter, smaller/bigger etc etc----so a quick start guide wud be GREAT!!!

The printer is fast, reliable, and produces exceptionally sharp black-and-white documents. The first page comes out almost instantly, and longer print jobs are completed very quickly, which is perfect for a home office or small business setup.

Sleek, simple and user friendly MFP. Compact and relatively easy to pick up weight wise. Quality of printing and speed are more than satisfactory. Installation was a breeze and worked out of the box without any problems. \r\nFirst time using this particular printer so I am not sure about how ling the toner cartridge lasts. At this time I give it 5 stars.

I purchased this equipment with the help of HP expert by chat and I am being using it about a month and I would like to say I am really satisfied with this decision. The only I haven't found the way to do it is to make copies on both sides and I haven't had the time to dig on this. But it does print both sides..

I received the HP Laser Jet Pro 3101fdw printer and it is awesome. Easy to set up and my documents printed out clearly. As many documents that I scan per week; that is my favorite feature is scanning. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family!
