Bought this over a year ago to save space in our laundry room. Possibly the worst decision I've ever made. I really tried to like this product. It does, indeed, save space; however, it fails in almost every other aspect as an appliance.\n\nThe biggest issue I have is that after 2-3 runs (4 max, but sometimes even just after 1 run) I have to drain the machine because the filter gets clogged and it can't drain itself; this in itself is annoying, but becomes a huge chore because 1) there is no built in drain pan and 2) the drain spout IS TOO SHORT TO REACH a bowl or external drain pan, so I have to stick a straw into the drain spout to make it reach. Seriously? Who designed this? This was enough to give 1 star by itself, and there's no way to come back from such a frustrating design flaw.\n\nThe second issue I have is the drying feature. I knew it's ventless, so I expected it to take longer to dry and I was okay with this. I fill the machine below the "optimal drying fill line" and the clothes still come out very damp after 4-6 hours in a single run. The amount of time it takes to dry, in combination with the size of the machine, makes it very easy to fall behind on laundry, especially if it's 2+ people.\n\nThird issue is the clothes just don't smell good after coming out of the machine. I have tried the scent beads and they help, but it absolutely does not compare to a traditional dryer where you can use dryer sheets.\n\nFourth issue is the lint trap being the rubber ring that the door sits in. This thing is very difficult to clean and wipe lint off of, and it must be done between every cycle. Even though I do wipe it SPOTLESS between each run, the lint filter (see first issue I listed) STILL GETS CLOGGED extremely quickly. Why am I wasting my time cleaning the lint trap if it's just all gonna end up in the filter anyway?\n\nLast issue is, honestly, the barrel size is just too small when you factor in the "optimal drying fill line". The line sits at a little over half of the barrel size, so you're actually working with under half of a barrel instead of 3/4 of the barrel.

I purchased an all-in-one appliance from a retailer as a replacement for our washer, which had stopped working. The concept of having a single unit capable of both washing and drying for our household of two (with no pets) seemed highly appealing, especially given its ventless design. However, within just six days, despite attempting to remain optimistic and adjust to the all-in-one, we ultimately decided to exchange it for a traditional washer and dryer set.\nThe drying time of the appliance was significantly longer than what I am accustomed to. Despite being careful not to overfill the washer beyond the indicator line, my clothes remained damp even after three hours of drying. I thoroughly reviewed the manual before using the appliance to ensure I followed all instructions correctly, yet my dissatisfaction persisted.\nIf you are considering purchasing this washer and dryer, I recommend ensuring it is properly leveled. During the spin cycle, it tended to jump around erratically, which was quite concerning.

I have been using this washer/dryer for about a week in my apartment. I purchased it because I have no hook ups and the apartment company charges 2.75 for a wash and 2.75 minimum for 50 min dry. \r\n\r\nIt works great. It is a great washer, it vibrates a little when on max spin speed but a 50mm/1.96 gap between spaces is code and is more than enough. \r\n\r\nThat being said, it also drys the clothes but this is not as efficient as a vented dryer. I have put it through its paces and it will wash and dry a cal king comforter heavy weight in about 4.5 hours. It handled a load of socks and underwear above the fill line for drying in about 3 hours. It works for 1 person living alone. I tried washing and dry only instead of wash/dry and the results were damp. If you dry on dry only it spins then drys no matter what but doesnt dry all the way... So the best way is wash and dry. \r\n\r\nIt works!! Your clothes will be washed and dry. However, there is a slight design flaw with the detergant/softerner dispencer. Steam comes out of the dispencer when it drys. I had a tech come and diagnose it because I thought it was a defect. The hose that puts the detergent into the drum for washing does not have a valve. As a result, you will get some minor condensation/steam coming from the dispencer on the top of the machine. Its not too bad but a design flaw in my opinion. I guess you could block the opening with something when drying but that is optional. It doesnt make my apartment humid or anything. \r\n\r\nFinally and again, it works and is a lot less expensive than LG. It is basic and gets the job done with the exeception of the minor flaw I described.\r\n\r\nOne last thing, you have to clean the rubber seal with something because it doesnt have a lint trap. You can use anything and Whirlpool recommends a specific item but I found clorox disenfecting wipes the cheapest option. About every 2 loads there will be lint all around the seal inside and out. I just use about 2 clorox wipes and it gets most of it and disenfects also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are aspects of this all-in-one washer/dryer I really like and then there's the issues. The good things include all the wahing options, the xl soap dispenser, and the ability to extend the drying time if I'm not around to take the close out right after the dry cycle ends. I love that feature.\n\nAs much as I like the drying feature there's a problem with the fact that there's nowhere for the steam to go since it ventless and despite having ventilation in the location of my brand new appliance, condensation builds up around the upper detergent dispenser and drips water along the side of the unit down under the unit, then to the floor. This problem isn't sustainable long term. Because it's new and under warranty, I have a Whirlpool repair business rep coming to see if this issue can be fixed or not. If so, I'm a happy camper, if not it's gotta go. Fingers crossed! I'll update after my appointment.

The only negative I have is the collection of lint in the drum and surrounding boot is insane. I have tried the Affresh tablets to clean it, but does not do a very good job. I also have the wipes and it is a very time consuming cleaning process, which if I had of known at the time of purchase I would not have bought this machine. You claimed the lint would go down the drain with the drain cycle, but it is far from that. Cleaning the pump filter is a pain also. Perhaps there should have been or this machine should come equipped with a lint screen like other all in one combos.

We bought this in October and started using it in December. We have 3 cats and this probably contributes to the washer frequently clogging due to the lint management system. When this happens, you have to drain the basin and the setup for this is not ideal. We can go 4 full loads before we get the error message and have to unclog again.\r\n\r\nDuring the drying cycle, water accumulates in the detergent tray, and then drips down the side of the unit to the floor. Poor design.\r\n\r\nOther issue is the control panel sometime is unresponsive and I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in.

We purchased this unit with high hopes. But unfortunately over the least three months I have spend hours draining it by hand when I get a pump code. I do understand that having animals can cause more hair to acclimate, but every week is ridiculous. And my biggest problem is the location of the drain with the soap dispenser. Once you remove the dispenser try the drain tube it too short and recessed in and too close to the floor to empty. It has flooded my laundry more often then not. Definitely poor design for the drain location.

I was very excited to buy this all in one, but disappointed came after just 2 loads. I tried smaller size of drying program and was/dry program. Either way the steam and water vy dry drip down out if the machine and if I would not see it it would probably be water all over my floor. Just not good at all.\nReturning!\nThe loaf is great with huge amounts of clothes, washing is about 55min and with dry program almost 3h, that’s super long.\nHard to maintain after drying leaves some fabrics inside the machine, not good.

Uses more water and electricity which is not acceptable for going from separate washer and dryer to the combo washer dryer in one. I wish we had purchased a separate washer and dryer for the amount of money we paid for the combo.

I thought this machine had a lint tray in it, it doesn\u2019t , I should have researched it better. The constant cleaning of the door seal and drain pump where the lint collects is very annoying. I have to take my towels to the laundry mat because it takes up to 5 hours to dry 4 towels and washcloths and then they still aren\u2019t dry. I like whirlpool appliances but I would never recommend this machine to anyone.

Whoever designed this was not thinking of an older person. You have to get on the floor and work at getting the drawer open and then try and get the water out without it getting all over your floor. I'm still learning how to use it because the controls do not respond the way I expect and the instructions manual isn't very clear, so figuring out the correct setting has been a bit of a challenge. One issue I experienced was with the dry only cycle. The machine flashed end but never actually shot off. Not sure if this was a user error or a problem with the machine.

Then will need to place in my other dryer to finish. It takes days now to do my laundry. Nothing is good about this machine, 6-7 hours to dry and the items are still wet…. We have had for 2 months and have to take cloths to laundry mat to dry our items. Don't buy this machine and customer service is a nightmare… must have something to do with Covid because whirlpool use to be one of the best… I actually use to have contracts with them to haul their freight but after this I can't haul for a company when I explained the problem they said it's not their problem. They think I can just load the machine drive the 90 plus miles to the closet repair place and call it a day. Very sadden to read the poor reviews plus it's worse because whirlpool use to be the best! Hopefully someone from whirlpool will read this and not send me to a Facebook site again or a customer service line that was incredibly rude. Please prove me right whirlpool in why I use to think you all were the best!

I bought this unit at the end of June. It worked well for a while although it did leave lint everywhere. After two months, the unit would no longer drain, change programs or use the automatic soap dispenser. Whirlpool was called for service. The repair person was unable to fix the unit due to unavailability of parts. I have made numerous calls to both Whirlpool and the authorized repair company. It has now been two months since parts were ordered and still nothing. I am 88 years old and this has become a real hardship for me. I requested a refund from the store where I purchased this unit but was refused due to the fact that Whirlpool would not reimburse them. I have tried to resolve this through your Facebook page but due to my age, I am not able to do this. I want this unit gone and a refund! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Do not buy. If I could, I would give this machine no stars. I bought two of these machines. The issue is the lint buildup. They need a lint filter in the actual machine. After one use, all clothes were covered lint and many are ruined. I have to vacuum lint out and wash the rubber lip after every use. I keep getting error codes on one machine after using it less than 10 times, causing machine to lock and can't get it open. Just had it repaired today and bottom drain filter was full of lint. This filter has teeth that hold the lint rather than flushing it out the draining hoses, causing the lint to build up very quickly. I shouldn't have to clean this filter out after a couple of loads. A total design flaw. Put a regular lint filter in it and put the drain filter up higher so it's more accessible for the elderly.

The concept behind having a single machine to wash and dryer appealed to us as part of a home reno that we recently completed where laundry space became limited. Add that we have/had whirlpool appliances and this purchase was an easy one. That's where the easy ended. This machine does not dry properly after taking four hours to wash and "dry" one small load. Forget washing sheets or towels. As well, it is a pain to clean out the bottom filter as even following the instructions you will have water all over the floor. We now only use this appliance's quick wash function on sunny days when we can dry the load on the clothesline which should be fun come winter as we are in Northern Canada.

0/5. We purchased the Whirlpool WFC682CLW expecting the reliability and quality of a trusted brand, but this washer has been a constant disappointment. From the beginning, we experienced repeated error codes, clogging issues, and excessive noise during operation. These are not problems we should have encountered with a brand-new appliance. What has been most frustrating is Whirlpool\u2019s failure to make this right. We did not receive the level of support, accountability, or resolution we expected from a company with Whirlpool\u2019s reputation. We expected a quality product and a company that stood behind it, but unfortunately received neither. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Was so excited to save space and energy with this machine. Unfortunately it's complete trash. After all the same reviews with the same problems, I can't believe they are still selling this junk. Steam comes out anywhere it possibly can, my walls and floors are wet. Lint builds up inside the drawers, rubber door gasket, and surely inside the machine. Going to be a fire hazard for sure with the extended dry times. Need to clean drain filter every wash or it clogs up with lint. Not an easy task. I'm not in whirlpool service area and the appliance guys around here say its simply a poor design, nothing they can fix on it. Really wish I would've spent a bit more on something better.

There was so much lint to clean after each wash, it leaked detergent on the floor everytime I opened the reservoir, when I included the dry cycle, it gave off so much heat in my house it was unbearable to use the dryer. It ended up being a glorified extremely expensive washer that did not clean very well. I've since returned it got a refund, and bought a stackable washer dryer that is not whirlpool. I'd like to add, whirlpool refused to let me return it, they gave me such a hard time. I had to go through the retailer to get a refund. Whirlpool 2 in 1 machine is terrible.

So, this seems like a really cool idea. We bought a house that was clearly a flip that didn't take into consideration how doors work on a washer and dryer in the laundry closet. We were in a panic trying to figure out what to do when someone mentioned these seemingly awesome inventions. I thought it was perfect! It'll fit and I'm so bad about remembering to throw stuff in the dryer it'll save us so much time! Lord, I wish. Avoid if you have any number of pets and possibly children. The ventless feature sounds cool until the pet hair has to go somewhere. The filter that needs cleaned out is on the bottom of the until and you constantly have to drain the water out first before being able to even open the filter (the tube that you use to drain the water is so stupidly short, as well). I knew we'd need to clean it but doing this every day is obnoxious and hard on my back, honestly. Not only that, you have to clean the edge of the unit each time before use. Which doesn't sound awful, you just use one of their recommended wipes to clean out the deal! Wrong. They don't even make those wipes anymore so good luck trying to find any that work as well as the recommended ones supposedly did. I can never get all the lint out. It now likes to run the dryer function so long it smells like the house is burning down. And randomly makes noises that sound very much like it's trying to go out to pasture one last time. I LOVE the idea of this thing but it needs a ton of work. We'll probably use it until a better unit is made or we figure out a totally different laundry arrangement. I'd recommend avoiding this for now.

I had this delivered 2 days ago and it's been nothing but a headache\nDay 1 I did 1 load of laundry and got and error code for the filter. It's was blocked with hair and lint. Solid. 2nd load didn't stop drying for 6 hrs so I hot tumbled a load of t-shirts until it shut down. I have since removed the bottom drawer and have to check the trap after each load.\nDay 2 I have a massive flood! Water is shooting out of the dispenser on the top front of the unit\nTo make things even better it's Saturday and whirlpool doesn't open until Monday.

Bought the all in one to save space and time from switching to a dryer. That is not the case. We have had it 4 months and have had the repair tech out 2 times waiting on parts again. Constantly have to wait because of excessive suds or having to redry because they are still damp and that's with out filling the machine up to the recommend amount. To clean the filter you must get down on the ground and remove a screwed I'm filter which then because of design allows some what to escape between two pieces and go under the machine.

This was a disappointing purchase, steam pours out of the detergent tray, and makes the entire house humid every time the dryer turns on despite it being advertised as “ventless” even though it has a vent. There is no lint trap so lint sticks to the door seal and your clothes. Called whirlpool to have a repair tech come out who told me nothing was wrong with it. The store I bought it from wouldn't take it back and neither will Whirlpool, so I am now stuck with it.
