This wok has many positive features: it's carbon steel with a special treatment for durability; it has lovely and comfortable wooden handles on the pan and the lid; it comes with a lid that fits! Many woks don't have a lid, but I find one essential. The carbon steel finish is, in my opinion, the best material for a wok. It is capable of providing even heat at a relatively low weight pan. I have had other woks I like but some are too heavy, and others (nonstick) have surfaces that degrade. Ideally, I will treat this pan well, season it often, and not need another wok for many years, if ever!

Have made do with stir-frying in a skillet for years, but finally decided it was time for a wok. Did a lot of research ahead of time and settled on this one b/c I needed one with the flexibility to work on both conventional gas and induction cooktops. Have been really happy with this one thanks to the even heating, the fact that it comes with a lid, and that the lid and wok handles stay cool to the touch so I'm not wrestling with oven mitts. I have other Zwilling and Staub branded kitchenware and they've held up wonderfully over the years, so I'm expecting this one is no different.

This wok is a workhorse in my kitchen. I use it for everything, not just stir-fry, and the carbon steel heats fast and evenly no matter what I'm cooking. The size is generous enough for real batches of food, and the sloped sides make stirring and flipping easy.\n\nThe included lid is a great bonus, letting me simmer or steam when I want to. It seasoned up quickly and has built a nice patina with regular use. Lighter than cast iron but still feels sturdy and well made.\n\nA little care goes a long way (dry it well, keep it lightly oiled), and it rewards you for it. Highly recommend.

I've been really happy with this Zwilling wok so far. It heats evenly, gets hot quickly, and is a great size for stir-fry, fried rice, vegetables, and larger one-pan meals. The construction feels sturdy and high quality without being overly heavy, and the handle is comfortable to use.\nFood cooks evenly and cleanup has been easy, especially when using the right amount of oil and letting the wok heat up first. It also looks great and feels like something that will hold up well over time. Overall, it's a versatile, well-made wok and a worthwhile addition to the kitchen.

I absolutely love this cast iron pan! The quality is outstanding – it feels solid, heats evenly, and retains heat beautifully. I’ve used it for everything from searing steaks to making crispy-skinned salmon, and the results are always fantastic. It’s already developing a great seasoning layer after just a few uses. Cleaning is easy with just hot water and a soft brush. This pan is built to last and feels like a timeless kitchen essential. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves to cook!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work for a Chinese restaurant and wanted a non-commercial wok for home..\r\nThis one checks all the boxes of what you should be looking for. Quality carbon steel, flat bottom for the stove top. Heats quickly, big enough to handle home cooking without being too large.. Just make sure to follow the included instructions for seasoning, cleaning, and keeping the wok properly maintained.

The wok was very easy to season. The heat distributes amazingly making it cook evenly, even on induction cooktops which is all I use at the moment. It preheated very quickly . I haven't used it much so I can't speak on the corrosion resistance, but I can say that the food did not stick once it was seasoned. It's a good size to hold a decent amount of food but not too big. I'm very excited to use this thing for a long time

Very well made with carbon steel just like the original woks are made. Make sure you season the wok as instructed. Size is perfect for 1-2 people meals. Just make sure you maintain it well because it will rust if you don't (how it is supposed to be). The material will help elevate the dish by adding a intense fire flavor (almost like charcoal grilled flavor) to your stir frys and other dishes perfect for cantonese food.

This is a beautiful wok. The instructions included with the wok are clear and helpful. This is my first wok and I feel confident using it. It's more expensive than a typical carbon steel wok that you could buy at the local asian market but in my opinion it's worth the price to have a beautiful piece of cookware sitting on your stove or hanging on your wall, and to be confident that it will last a lifetime.

Unlike traditional round-bottom woks, its thick, flat base ensures it sits perfectly and heats efficiently on all stovetops, including flat-top glass and induction ranges. \nIt comes with a stay-cool walnut handle and a tempered glass lid for steaming and braising. Plus, the treated surface is safe for use with metal utensils, so I don't have to worry about scratching a delicate non-stick coating.

First and foremost the feel, it has a wonderfully substantial weight to it without being heavy. The handle shields you from the heat when cooking, very easy to use for all sorts of things and easy to control.\nHeats up FAST and very evenly, and even the most stubborn of fried food will not stick.\nCleanup so far is great, wipes clean quickly.\nHonestly the nicest pan I own.

I’m obsessed with this carbon steel wok. It heats up incredibly fast and evenly, giving my stir-fries real wok hei instead of soggy results. Once seasoned, it’s naturally non-stick and super easy to clean. It’s lighter and more responsive than I expected, making tossing effortless. It feels durable and only gets better with use—definitely a lifetime kitchen upgrade. 🍳🔥

The wok is built with premium carbon steel, it's strong and lightweight in its class. The wok is easy to handle and conduct heat well. It needs normal handling of a steel wok, so don't expect non-stick wok performance. But it's better in my opinion than other stainless steel wok that I used. The lid is really nice and have match walnut lid handle with the wok handle.

Heats quickly and evenly. Size is about appropriate for our family of 3, with an additional serving or two for next day's lunch. A proper-fitting lid is a great plus and the wok seems more resistant than some others I've gotten to rust (though no carbon steel is truly rust resistant). Additionally, it's beautiful and the wood handle has a comfortable grip.

BEAUTIFUL WOK

My new wok is so beautiful and after following the instructions to season it, it was glowing. The wooden handle was a nice touch to this solid piece of fine cookware. If you season it correctly, you can even cook eggs and it will slide right onto your plate. This wok is amazing and I can prepare many Asian dishes cooking with it on my induction stove.

This is a beautiful wok! The wooden handles and smooth, dark finish of the pan are so appealing. It is just the right size for easy handling and allows for stirring without spilling. The flat bottom means you don't need an additional holder for it to sit safely on the stove. We are looking forward to many years of delicious meals cooked on The Dragon!

Weight and heat dispersement is great! I've been looking for a true wok for all of the Thai and Indonesian food that I make. I've been using a Staub cast iron wok, which is great for high heat… but maneuverability is non existent. This gives me the high heat, and lightweight to be able to toss. And the handle is quite comfortable.

This is a very well made wok. This IS the real thing, which means hand was and you really need to take the time to season it. For me, this is a *good* thing and goes with getting the very best cooking equipment. It heats quickly and evenly. \n\nThe only thing I could wosh for is a larger big brother. It's the perfect size for 75% of my cooking. There's a few dishes where I wish I had a second larger one in addition to this.

This wok is the best one I have ever had! Heats fast and evenly and shaped well to keep meats searing on bottom while vegetables cook uniformly along the sides.\n\nThe long wooden handle and cover knob means no burned hands as the shelter from the heat. This makes it super easy to stir, fry and keep everything cooking until done.

Switched from our place titanium pan to this wok as food gets easily trapped in the honeycomb coating with the titanium pan, making cleaning difficult. This wok is sturdy, well made, easier to wash and can last for long use. Satisfied with the purchase. But be careful don’t follow the user guide for seasoning the wok. You should watch videos on how to season a wok.
