I was terrified after I read the reviews, AFTER I purchased it so I was really scared! The only problem I have with it is the volume not matching the number like my other Roku TV's I have.. I was sooo scared it was going to be messed up.. but the screen is fine.. I haven't taken off the plastic wrap on it but that could cause any issues that others may have had, because from the top view of the tv the screen is slightly out or on top of the rest of the frame it is inside at the bottom but the screen is really thin.. so I hope when I take the stickers off it won't mess with anything ( there's a little snag on a part of the plastic on the bottom) I might just leave it on just incase besides the tape that's holding the screen cover onto the TV.. I can't beat it for the price plus I got warranty with the same company I've been with for 20 years so that makes me feel better.. along with the factory warranty.. I'm going into this as a glass almost fill to the top kinda energy! I'm really excited! Especially because with the last power outage we had messed up my other tv I've had for maybe 5 years it's just got lines on it and I can't find the warranty or paperwork for that one.. I might get it repaired soon but I really like this tv it's a lot more sleek than my last one, so the aesthetic is great! It's 40' across not up and down.. but most things are in wider view more often these days so it works out well for me.. I still have to put the legs on it and hook up the antenna.. but I use WiFi %26 streaming apps so no biggie! So far so good!! Except for the volume level it's got to be turned up past 50 to hear it the way I prefer to but it's still a good tv so far! I intend on it being a great one for a long time! Taking care of it with lots of love 💜 you have to use a little force to screw in the legs I prob stripped one of the screws but I don't plan on taking them off.. just have to push a bit harder and it'll work out better

Was looking for an inexpensive but nice little TV to replace the one we had. Brought this one and I'm super impressed. The picture quality is crisp. The tv weighs close to nothing and the connection is a breeze. My only gripe is the volume, very flat sound and not loud enough to hear over the hot tub when the jets are on. The remote is a standard remote, works well. The Roku set up is a breeze and even easier if you already have an account.

My old TV failed to come on, so I needed another one quickly. I found this one, delivered in a couple of hours. Great. The overall picture is fine, clear and crisp, good colors… until you get to a black screen. There’s a not-so-faint white spherical shape directly in the middle of the screen… on every black screen. When the picture is colorful, if it’s there, it can’t be seen. It’s annoying. But it’s a 40” television that cost just over $100. It’s not serious enough for me to return, I’ll deal with it. If it doesn’t last, I can’t be too mad. Hoping it’ll give me a couple of good years of watching. And the volume sucks!! I have to have it on volume 10 to even hear anything. My old TV was loud on 3. Since my previous TV was a Roku as well, all I had to do was add my channel apps — I was already logged in. I’ll come back to update. If I remember.

I like that this TV was inexpensive and light weight. I like the plug and play capabilities. However, it seems to limit the selection of other apps, I.e. Hulu, or Tubi, Every time I select these channels the system would go back to the home page. Not sure why that kept happening. So I connected an external Roku box, now I can watch my Prime Videos without interruptions.

I am very disappointed in the sound volume on the TV. I cannot hear it when the air conditioning is running. Not can I hear it in the next room with the French doors wide open. Also, it is sold as a 40 inch TV but measures 35 inches across. I don't really mind the size, but the sound matters a lot to me. I bought a 40-inch Hisense TV nine years ago. It had much better sound and measures 38 inches across. It appears that the new Hisense TV is an example of « shrinkflation ».

Is a low budget tv, but for the price is great. The picture is not ultimate still I'm one of those rare beings that do not like 4 k so regular 1080 p is great for me. If you are in a budged this tv is highly recommendable. It has a decent picture several options for the picture quality. It has a good enough refresh rate. Streaming with Roku built in is a snap. We have the highest wifi band therefore we have no problem streaming. The sound is regular dolby, but good in overal. The settings are very easy to use, and it has all the options that we usually might need. Stremming quality is as good as the video that you might be streaming. I streeam videos from youtube that are 480 p and the sitll look good enough. It has all the apps available in Roku streaming so you make your pick.

This is the second Hisense 40" TV we have had in the past 3 years. The kitten killed the first one after about a year and a half, the current model LED's are starting to dim around the right bottom corner. I had an Insignia do this in the past. Our Samsung 75" also went partially dim within 9 months but, they came out and replaced the entire screen for free under warranty. Would most likely purchase another. They are inexpensive.

I just wanted something to put in my room since my kids have completely taken over the family tv and I never got to watch my shows. The screen is large enough with a good display. It's not like those TVs that look realistic, but that's not a big deal to me. I like that I can turn down the brightness or choose a picture mode according to what I'm watching(Movie, sports, animation, etc). There's also a built in stereo boost. I don't like a blaring tv, so I leave it off, but what I heard during set up wasn't bad. It's not surround sound, but it can enhance however you choose (music, speech, bass, etc). This was an extremely easy television to program which is what I worry about when I purchase any device. The manufacturer made the easy step by step set up directions in a way even a child could do. Along with that the television works as good as any high Dollar television with extra features and the ability to order you programming right from the screen while you’re setting it all up. I feel I got a great deal on a great television. I normally won’t purchase the least expensive product that’s available to buy because I’ve just had bad luck by doing so. But this time I went against my own rule and did buy the least expensive television which happened to be on sale at the time. I highly recommend the Hinsense Roku 40” television!

At first when I took the Hisense Roku Smart television 40-in out of the box and plugged it in and hooked it up with the internet and everything. The picture itself is a little hazy fine-tuning didn't help. I got a Roku stick plug that in it made the picture a little bit better, but when you sit on an angle it's blur. You have to sit directly in front of it for it to be okay. The settings for the sound they're not very clear. There's no bass treble mid-range. It is basic settings for like theater music high low as normal. It's not very good. Also, the Hisense Roku Smart television 40 in is not Bluetooth compatible. I looked and looked there's nothing for Bluetooth. I cannot hook up my wireless speakers to it. It doesn't recognize it. I don't know why it just keeps spinning and spending with no recognition that I don't like because the speakers in the television the 40-in is not good. When I hit the bout halfway 50% I got up to. You can hear the speaker is crackling so they're cheap speakers. It goes on and off fine the 40-in. Yeah it needs some fine tuning on the picture mainly and the sound. Bought this to use on our patio in dry weather. Easy for me to move back and forth as we don’t leave it outdoors at night. The picture is crisp and vibrant. The Roku system is tried and true, and was just updated in a nice manner. I attached an antenna to pull in our local TV stations, otherwise we utilize our home WiFi to watch the multitudes of streaming options. The TV sound is “okay” but I attached an inexpensive soundbar, which bumps things up nicely. It’s especially useful when listening to music services on the TV. All in all a solid purchase for very little $.

Extremely happy with this TV. Great value for the price I was able to catch it for. Streaming is perfect. Installation is so easy JUST FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ! Speakers are great, still purchased a soundbar but that's only because im extra lol. The settings are easy to navigate through, love that im able to switch up my theme, background and click noises. I live for change. LOVE IT. (The TV mount roller and soundbar in picture are separate)

I originally purchased the Roku box. when my tv went out I was glad, lol. I bought the Roku tv right away. It is amazing. For the first time ever I dont have a 150.00 cable bill. I have more channels than i can watch on a tv with a beautiful picture. This is the way to go. If you have internet to hook into give it a try. I love it. This tv is super clear. I was so pleased and so Happy with the TV when I got it it was perfect for me as I live alone, and I could set it all up all by myself and I even have a satellite dish and I still was able to set everything up with no problem.. very very happy. The price was in my budget and it's perfect for my bedroom. Would highly recommend this TV. Picture is fabulous. and it's really really good and the color is good.

Needed a smart tv for my bedroom, had to many cords and only have 2 plugs . Grabbed this lil gem and it works great. Sound is good and picture is very clear ! Easy set up. Great price. This TV is perfect for my lanai. Its light weight and connectivity options coupled with ROKU convenience make it a winner in my eyes. \n\nAs is the case with virtually all new TVs nowadays, the only detriment is the lackluster audio performance. Only had this a month, so cannot speak too longevity. It seemed an expensive, was easy to get hooked up to watch Stanley Cup finals, and now continue to use for other purposes. We have an old add-on DVD player that we are able to connect and use. This fits just inside of our existing armoire which was very important to our space.

Super easy set up %26 great if you don't want to add another cable box. Picture is FANTASTIC compared to my 720 TV I had before. Four screws for the legs were missing. \nI turned this Roku TV on. Went straight to the HULU app to enter my subscription information only to see someone else named “Hank” had beat me to it. I can only use this app as a GUEST. I tried to have Hank removed but was told only Hank can delete his account. How did Hank set up an account on an app that is on a television that has never been out of the box? I got busy with working and traveling so now is the first time I've had some free time to take care of personal issues.
