This unit comes with an on screen tutorial that guides a person step by step for getting the unit setup. So the first thing you do is connect it to your TV, and it automatically starts the tutorial. If you are experienced with setup then a person could simply setup everything without tutorial. I connected my TV, DirecTV Recvr, DVD, phonograph record player, 5 speakers (5 chnl surround) and subwoofer. It all works great. Note about the remote... the four quick set buttons labeled 1 2 3 4 are programable. Read the online manual as it indicates you simply hold a quick set down for it to store features you set into memory. The unit has nice features such as the ability to adjust the db's on each speaker. It took a little time to figure things out, but once I did, it proves to be a great choice for the entry level to mid level users.

My setup includes 2 massive audiophile front speakers and a decent center speaker...no sub or rear needed. This receiver is perfect: crystal clear sound, plenty of power, only the features I use, easy to setup and use. I like the sound better than on the pre-HDMI 100w/ch Pioneer AV receiver it replaces. Because the correlation between watts and sound level is logarithmic, there is a negligible difference in loudness between 70w and 100w. It would take 700w to double the volume of 70w.

My oldest son gave me his old Denon AVR1601 to drive a basic home theater setup. Worked great until problems with remote started. New receiver AVR-S570BT plugged in straight forward & after a few programming issues with some of the older technology components (lo-tech grandpa here) got everything adjusted, playing jamming. Great sound with Blue Tooth capability is really appreciated. My son advised well.

This unit replaced an 8 year old Pioneer that suddenly stopped producing sound. Crutchfield recommended this as I did not need a high end unit for my setup. This has met all of my expectations. It was easy to set up, has the features I needed and sounds wonderful. Don't know about the longevity but hopefully it will outlast me. Crutchfield rocks! Great sound quality and easy, guided setup. My only complaint is that the volume control on the remote is very touchy. So you have to push the button incrementally for small changes rather than push and hold. Otherwise, the volume changes too rapidly. But I'll accept that quirk given the very nice price for this receiver and the great sound quality.

Well worth the money, great deal. No problems at all. I searched everywhere, including Amazon and Best Buy for an inexpensive receiver that worked well and couldn't find one anywhere.
