With a separate Channel 70 receiver, the Eclipse Series is an ITU-R M493-13 Class D class VHF that enables DSC calls to be received even while listening to conversations. In order to promote quick reaction, the DSC DISTRESS function when engaged transmits a digital MAYDAY including vessel identify, Latitude and Longitude, and time. Individual, Urgency, Safety, Position Report, and Send calls are more options. The radio's many capabilities may be easily and smoothly navigated thanks to the high definition dot matrix display.
