Our patented nautical wall clock becomes even more distinct with the 8.5-inch Ship's Bell Clock and Base. This is the largest ship's clock we make, giving it a monumental presence in any space. The traditional mahogany base transforms it into a sophisticated mantel clock that you can place wherever it best complements your décor and offers the most visibility. The soul of each Ship's Bell Desk Clock is the same as the first chronometer made in 1900. It still uses the original 11-jewel mechanical movement with 364 brass parts for the accuracy you need. The dial is hand-silvered with stylized black Arabic numerals and hands. A rustproof solid forged brass case is hand-lacquered to resist corrosion. The clock is wound using the included key and has a hinged bezel for adjustments. You'll gently hear time passing from the mariner watch code chimes in every Ship's Bell Clock. Eight bells sound at four o'clock, eight o'clock and 12 o'clock with bells every half hour in between, increasing from one to seven. Whether you're sailing the Pacific or using the clock to lend elegance to living rooms and offices, you'll appreciate this reminder of the sea. A hardwood mahogany base is the final touch of this luxury nautical clock. Chelsea Clock has crafted every piece of the Ship's Bell by hand in Massachusetts for more than 120 years. It has a five-year warranty but is shown to last for generations, becoming a family heirloom to treasure. We also offer customization for gifting and awards, including logo engraving, base engraving plates and screen printing.
