This large solar-operated pump, 2 panels, and battery backup kit come with everything you need to set up your DIY outdoor fountain or create a water feature in your man-made pond. When the power button is on, the pump will run via solar power when the panels are in direct sunlight. When the sun goes down the battery pack will operate the pump for up to 4 hours on a full charge. To use the battery in this continual use mode, simply press the [power] button until the [on] indicator light turns on. This will run the pump via the battery until the battery runs out of power. When the battery is depleted, the system will then be powered via direct sunlight on the solar panel. For special events, you can run the pump during the evening hours. To do so, during the day turn the pump off position by pressing [power] so the indicator light turns off, then press [power] when you want the pump to run and it will run until the battery is depleted. Under this option, the battery will store the power and not run.
