Stop Rot is a special low viscosity epoxy resin formulation which penetrates deep into the pores of wood and stops rot It also works on damp wood. This will completely restore old dry rotted wood or damp wood. It is sand-able and paintable once cured. Makes the wood completely waterproof Holes may be drilled into the rotted areas and 99 Stop Rot poured in or injected to saturate the wood Stop rot is a 4:1 mix ratio and crystal clear in color. Fasco Has been Manufacturing Epoxy compounds and coatings since 1957 Made in the USA Fasco 99 Stop-Rot is a thin, two-part liquid epoxy sealer that's awesome for repairing dry, rotted wood around the house, such as windowsills, trim, drip caps, decks, and more. Stop-Rot is also great for marine applications where water penetrated the core causing rot. It soaks into rotted wood quickly and completely to penetrate, harden, and restore the wood's original strength. Fasco 99 Stop-Rot epoxy seals the wood, and prevents further damage by isolating rot, and stopping hidden hairline leaks. In severe cases of deep rot, drill a series of holes in the rotted wood, and pour Stop-Rot epoxy liberally into the rotted area. Stop-Rot epoxy is also great for sealing new wood to provide long-lasting protection against humidity, mold, and mildew. The 4:1 mix ratio of Fasco 99 Stop-Rot epoxy makes it stronger than most 1:1 and 2:1 epoxies. (4oz of resin 1oz of hardener). Apply it with a brush, roller, syringe, or epoxy spreader, and allow enough time for it to completely saturate the wood fibers. The cured epoxy can be painted or varnished after light sanding.
