Partial Sun to Full Sun (At Least 5 Hours of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height 18 - 22 InchesMature Spread 18 - 22 InchesGrowing Zones 3 - 8The Prairie Splendor Coneflower is a showstopping perennial. Blooming similarly in time, if not slightly earlier to its relative standard sibling, this pink beauty blooms shorter than other coneflowers, but more dense in fashion. This perennial is a perfect addition to the cut flower garden that will reward its owner with blooms year after year. This flower could make a wonderful bouquet by itself, but will add bright pink color to vases among any other cut flowers. This perennial flower is hardy in zones three through eight. Not only is it native, but it is a pollinators dream flower. These fragrant blooms attract both butterflies and hummingbirds. It can be planted within the landscape, as well as along borders, fencing, and containers. To add to its list of positive attributes, it is deer resistant, and attracts hummingbirds. Prairie Splendor Coneflower Care This perennial Prairie Splendor Coneflower can be planted in a variety of different soil conditions. It can tolerate full sun, and partial sun. It requires an average amount of water, but would survive a dry stretch as it is drought tolerant. It only needs to be watered if an extreme dry stretch is occurring, or a typical dry stretch is observed and it is planted in a container. This perennial flower doesnt require pruning. Dead-heading spent blooms will prolong blooming time.Prairie Splendor Coneflower SpacingThese flowers grow 18 to 22 inches tall. They should be spaced 15 to 18 inches apart, as they grow densely, but upright.Prairie Splendor Coneflower InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 3 - 8Plant Type: PerennialsLight Exposure: Partial Sun to Full Sun (At Least 5 Hours of Direct Sunlight)Mature Height: 18 - 22 InchesMature Spread: 15 - 18 InchesSpacing: 15 - 18 InchesHabit: MoundedFlower Color(s): PinkFlower Description: Bloom Period: Foliage Type: HerbaceousFoliage Color(s): GreenFoliage Description: Seasonal Interest: Summer FloweringWatering: AverageResists: DeerTolerates: DroughtAttracts: Birds, ButterfliesContainer Role: Uses: Borders, Containers, Mass Planting, Wildlife GardensFeatures: Attracts Pollinators, Cut Flowers, Low Maintenance, Native to North AmericaBrand: American Beauties Native PlantsCommon Name: Prairie Splendor ConeflowerOther Name(s): Scientific Name: ECHINACEA `PRAIRIE SPLENDOR` | Perennials > Coneflower American Beauties Native Plants 1004193-pc
