Even better, you dont have to waste time deadheading old flowers from this blooming machine, as it is self-cleaning. The foliage is a deep purplish green. An excellent staple for landscaping, whether formal, cottage, or other style garden. The tight, compact form allows for its use in any area of your garden, such as a hedge, accent, or specimen planting. Plant individually, in a mass planting, or mixed with other perennials, shrubs, or roses. Layer behind low-growing color plants. Plant at least 3 feet apart. For best performance, cut back every year in spring after the last hard frost of the season. Grows to 3 to 4 high and wide. Plant in fertile, well-drained soil. Provide full sun. Water regularly until established. Flowers spring to fall. Hardy to Zone 5/-15 degrees F.
