Lotus contains chemicals that decrease swelling, reduce blood sugar, help the breakdown of fat, and protect the heart and blood vessels. Use. It can help to purify water and air.Plus it can decorate home courtyard, garden, goldfish pond, hotel, etc. Sow. File or nick the seeds so water can easily penetrate. Carefully go through the outer layer to the cream-colored inside. Sand either the side or rounded end. Drop seeds into warm water and set them on a sunny windowsill. Keep the water warm and clean. Seeds will sprout in a week. How To Grow Lotus 1.)Seed separation treatment to aid in faster germination. Use a sharp knife to separate one end (concave end) of the lotus seed. 2) Place the seeds that have just been split into the water at a temperature of 20 to 30 degrees C (preferably 21 degrees C). Soaking water must be changed every day (twice a day, morning and evening) until the seeds germinate. Note: only seeds that sink to the bottom are capable of sprouting, those that float to the top should be discarded. 3)After 3-5 days, from the strongest seeds will appear young green sprouts, continue to change the water daily, at this stage need to be gentler than before to avoid affecting the sprouts . 4)Wait until tender, about 15cm long (after about 2 weeks of soaking), then prepare to plant in a place where the soil has been prepared before. Note on soil/mud treatment before planting: Lotus must be planted with clean, unpolluted soil/mud. To clean the soil/mud for lotus cultivation, we should sprinkle 1 teaspoon of powder lime into the soil/mud to disinfect and de-acidify, wait for about a week to put the lotus in.
