This leave-in conditioner will keep hair moisturized and healthy. Tea. It has an herby flavor like a combination of mint, basil, and oregano, but not as strong. There's also a hint of menthol which makes it refreshing. Sow. Sow the seeds eight to 10 weeks before the last expected frost. Set the tray in a location out of direct sunlight with temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit until the seeds germinate. Germination takes 10 to 40 days.. How To Plant Bee Balm Fill seed flats with moist seed-starting mix and sprinkle the bee balm seeds over the mix, spreading them as evenly as possible. Cover the seeds with a thin layer of seed-starting mix. Sow the seeds eight to 10 weeks before the last expected frost. Put the tray of pots in a plastic bag and seal it. Set the tray in a location out of direct sunlight with temperatures between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit until the seeds germinate. Germination takes 10 to 40 days. Remove the bag as soon as the seeds begin to germinate. Place the tray of seedlings in a bright, preferably south-facing, window and keep the soil moist. Thin the seedlings to 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart by clipping out the unwanted seedlings at soil level with scissors. This will encourage your bee balm to flower a second time. After frost, cut the stems to about 2 inches above the soil. Divide every two to three years to help the plant remain strong and vigorous.
