Slatted sides, front and back allow fresh air to circulate, eliminating dampness and mildew that can damage pool accessories, patio cushions, garden tools and more. Hand-built from sustainably harvested, high-quality teak that is naturally resistant to mildew, so it holds up to rain and humidity. Durable teak frame is kiln-dried to remove moisture, guarding against warping and cracking, and sanded by hand so its smooth to the touch. On Natural Teak version, over time, teak will develop a natural silver patina if left untreated. Large Chest has more than 19 cubic feet of storage. Small Chest has more than 12 cubic feet of storage and is ideal for smaller spaces. Keeps outdoor accessories close at hand and hidden away. Hydraulic hinged lid opens nearly 90 degrees while assuring safe closings and smooth openings. Bumpers protect teak as the lid closes. Raised feet lift the slotted bottom slightly, so the chest never sits in standing water. Slatted top serves as a bench or impromptu buffet station. Teak dowel caps cover rust-resistant stainless steel hardware. Chest is not watertight; teak is slatted to enable air circulation. Nonmarring foot glides. Arrives assembled .
