The Invincibelle® Ruby Hydrangea is a real breakthrough - a pink mophead style hydrangea that is a reliable bloomer in zones 3, 4 and 5, and a double bloomer in zones 6 to 8. And what blooms they are - deep pink-red in bud, and bright silvery-pink when they open, creating a lovely effect in your garden. Plant it on the north side of a building, wall or fence, in partial shade beneath trees, or in a wooded area, with light shade. In warmer zones the first blooms appear in June, and then in all areas there is a rich blooming in late summer and into the fall. - Fabulous rich-pink mophead blooms - Blooms even in zones 3 and 4 - Blooms twice in zones 6 to 8 - Easy to grow in moist soil and partial shade - Great plant for shaded areas under trees The Invincibelle® Ruby Hydrangea grows easily in moist, well-drained soils of all kinds. It should be planted in partial shade, and afternoon shade is ideal, especially in warmer zones. This plant is not drought tolerant, and it should be kept well-watered, especially in more sunny spots. Mulch and richer soils will produce the best and largest flower heads. Simple spring pruning is all that is needed, and this plant has no important pests and diseases, once planted in suitable soil.
