Description

This Impatiens plant will reach 8 - 10 inches in height, and it is perfect for that shady flower bed or for baskets and pots on a shady patio. Often called Busy Lizzie, this scarlet annual will not stop blooming from spring until frosts begin. It's indeed busy! Impatiens flower seeds can be started indoors 8 weeks before the end of frost season. Fill your containers and flower beds with this free blooming show star! Baby Impatiens walleriana are great shade flowers. They are annuals for Zones 3 - 10. Pinch back any spent blooms to encourage a continued display of color. Our seeds are always Non-GMO and packaged for the current year. Impatiens (Impatiens Walleriana Baby Scarlet) - Add some eye-popping, bright scarlet color to your shady areas! Imagine these gorgeous Impatiens, grown from flower seeds, scattered throughout the shady spots in your garden. The deep green, shiny foliage really makes the scarlet color stand out. Once the Impatiens have grown from flower seed and are established, cuttings can easily be made. You can make cuttings for baskets and containers for friends and family. Impatiens plants grow well in partial to full shade. They prefer rich, moist (not wet) soil that drains well. Water them regularly. Add a general purpose fertilizer once a month, but no more than that. In containers, pots and baskets, water every 3 - 4 weeks with a liquid fertilizer in place of dry fertilizers. Sow Impatiens flower seeds indoors, 8 - 10 weeks before the end of frost season. Use starter trays and good starter soil. Sow flower seeds into the cells, press into soil but do not cover. Impatiens flower seeds need light to germinate. Keep the seed continuously moist. Transplant into containers or the garden 8 - 12 inches apart after all danger of frost.
