Full Sun (At Least 6 Hours Of Direct Sunlight)Height 3 - 4 FeetWidth 3 - 4 FeetGrowing Zones 4-8It is not often that you find a rose bush that has three colors of blooms on it at any one time, much less a prestigious award winning rose that is finally available in the United States for home gardeners to enjoy in their garden beds and landscapes. Introducing Ringo Rose. Bright sunshine yellow buds open to reveal a red ring in the center, contrasted by glossy dark green leaves. And, just when you think it cannot be any more beautiful, the single, cupped and curled petals age to a beautiful lemon yellow color and finally a white with dark pink center ring, all on the bush at the same time, creating a show stopping, breathtaking display for your garden. You are going to want this in your garden this spring!Developed in England by Chris Warner, this six time award winning rose can now grace your cottage garden, hedge or be the star of the show in your landscape. Bred specifically for its disease resistance and robust growth habit, Ringo Rose will soon be your favorite. Hardy from Zones 4 to 8, this nonstop continuous bloomer will perform in gardens from the Pacific Northwest to the tip of Maine and back down into the Panhandle of Florida, bringing its show stopping blooms to all but the most extreme climates in the United States. This low maintenance rose needs a place in your landscape, and get ready for the compliments.Ringo® Rose CareBred to resist the common plant diseases that plague roses in general, powdery mildew and black spot in particular, Ringo Rose will appreciate being planted in the right place in your landscape. Bright full sun for 6-8 hours a day, and an airy, breezy location will help this rose be at its best for you. Water in the morning and keep the water off the foliage if possible. Roses require a good inch of water a week minimum and should be planted in well draining soil of an average quality, pH of 7.0 neutral, but down to 6.0 is tolerated. Prepare your site by digging a hole that is 1 times larger than the root ball, and amend the native soil if needed to create a crumbly, loamy soil. Plant the crown of the root ball level with the ground around it and water it in well. Choose a good rose fertilizer available in any hardware store and follow the directions on how to apply. How often to apply will depend on the type you purchase.Roses grow on new wood that is developed in the springtime and your region will determine how early or late that will be. Pruning roses is important to create a strong robust plant and to remove any possible winter damage that will prevent your rose from giving you the best flowering in the summer. In cold winter regions, in late winter or early spring before your rose breaks dormancy, trim back any damaged or diseased wood down to good wood. Warmer regions may find a late fall pruning to be more beneficial. You can cut a to of the plant's volume without harming it. Deadheading is not necessary but removing rose hips after blooms will not damage your plant.Ringo® Rose SpacingSpace your plants a good 36 to 48 inches apart. This, as well as choosing a full sun, breezy area in your garden or landscape, will help to promote air circulation and keep your roses healthy. Ringo Rose looks beautiful as a specimen plant, and performs equally well when massed out as a hedge or focal point in your landscape. Consider using a raised bed if your soil is heavy clay or is compacted for best results.Ringo® Rose InformationUSDA Hardiness Zones: 4-8Plant Type: ShrubSunlight Exposure: Full SunMature Height: 3 - 4 FeetMature Width: 3 - 4 FeetPlant Spacing: 3 - 4 FeetGrowth Habit: UprightFlower Color(s): Yellow, OrangeFlower Shade: Yellow, Orange, White, PinkSeasonal Interest: Summer through FallFoliage Type: DeciduousFoliage Color(s): GreenResists: DiseaseFeatures: Cut Flowers, Low Maintenance, Award Winner, Continuous Blooming or Reblooming | Bushes > Roses > Shrub Roses Proven Winners 1012154-pc
