It's a striking and stately specimen in garden or container but is shown to best effect massed or grouped in mixed beds, borders, and foundation plantings. And it makes a great space-saving hedge or privacy screen. An easy-care shrub, snowball bush grows best in sunny locations with rich, moist, slightly acidic, well-draining soils but adapts to most soils, even clay.
