This Pedestal Table Base or Dining Table Base features a round pedestal base made from solid hardwood. It is the perfect pedestal for an elegant to transitional style table design. This pedestal comes with a mounting plate. Some Assembly required. Recommendation: The largest top size that each pedestal base will accommodate: Square Table Top 36" x 36" Rectangle Table Top 30" x 48" Round Table Top 36" Diameter. Weight of top that each pedestal base will accommodate is around 100-130lbs. Our pedestal is designed for a wooden table top and would also definitely work with a round glass top, but you will need to do a few modifications to it. You first attach a thin piece of wood, plain or decorative that you can get from Home Depot, Lowes or wood stores, to the top of our mounting plate to cover the holes before proceeding to the next step. Then, you use a transparent glue that can adhere the glass top to the pedestal. You can find this in your local Home Depot, Lowes or other hardware stores.
