As beautifully red as you'll find in the garden. Plus, easy to grow. 'Miss Molly' changes shades through the summer and fall. But each shade is as gorgeous as the previous shade. From fire-engine to magenta and burgundy, this awesome Butterfly Bush provides vivid, distinctive color and spectacular foliage. The most common shade, we call "sangria," but it changes throughout the season with more shades of red developing in warmer regions and purple shades favoring colder climates. Whether more red or more purple, 'Miss Molly' stands out in your garden.Attacting butterflies, bees and hummingbirds in the sunny garden, the bottlebrush blooms increase vigorously, allowing for regular cutting for vases from midsummer until the first frost. Growing 5 feet high and 5 to 6 feet wide, 'Miss Molly' requires little care. Cut it down to about one-third its original height in late winter and early spring for increased flower production and watch it grow! There is no easier plant for the sunny garden.Developed at North Carolina State University by Dennis Werner, who bred it from Buddleia Miss Ruby x Attraction, 'Miss Molly' inherited its terrific vigor and vitality. Magnificent in the border, it's a colorful attraction. This variety of Buddleia has been approved as a seedless butterfly bush cultivar and is considered sterile, producing less than two percent viable seeds, so it will not spread. It is approved for sale in all states without restriction. https://www.oregon.gov/ODA/programs/NurseryChristmasTree/Pages/ButterflyBush.aspx
