AUTHENTIC BOURBON/WHISKEY BARREL - A genuine, used barrel made of 100% American Oak that aged whiskey or bourbon for 2+ years. Some have also aged stout beer. HOME DECOR & DIY PROJECTS - Give your home that rustic or farmhouse vibe! Decor barrels make beautiful home accent pieces in any kitchen, bar, porch, patio, garden or other space. Or use the barrel, or just the staves and rings (hoops), for a DIY furniture or decor project. RUSTIC CHARACTER - These used barrels have been used by a distillery and/or brewery and may have small cracks, scratches and rusty bands. We call that character! We do not recommend aging with these barrels as they are no longer liquid tight. SOURCED FROM LOCAL DISTILLERIES - Each used oak whiskey/bourbon barrel comes from a distillery that used the barrel for its liquors so you can be sure theyre completely authentic. Please note each barrel is unique and they come from a variety of distilleries, therefore, we can not guarantee that the barrel you receive is exactly like the photographs Our authentic, 53 gallon used whiskey/bourbon barrels are ideal for use as decor, furniture, rain barrel or for parts to use during your next DIY project. Distilleries send these 100% American oak barrels to us here at Midwest Barrel Company, where weve inspected and retired them from barrel-aging. But when it comes to decor - especially when inspired by rustic and farmhouse design themes - you cant get more genuine than a real, used whiskey or bourbon barrel! Each barrel is unique and may have dirt, scratches, scuffs and other minor imperfections. Some may have aged a craft stout beer, too. The barrels are great accent or decor pieces next to rustic farmhouse furniture in a home bar, kitchen, man cave, front porch or outdoor patio. Barrels will have distillery markings and stamps. These barrels are 53 gallons (standard, full size), 120 pounds and have dimensions of 26x26x35. Bung hole size is 2 inches.
