Stay prepared with the Uniden Bearcat 300-Channel Handheld Scanner with Antenna, Belt Clip, and Wrist Strap. It's an easy way to check up on emergency reports during natural disasters or keep up to date on sporting events such as NASCAR races in real time. The Uniden scanner features 10 programmable scanner banks and a total of 300 channels to listen to. Close Call RF capture technology automatically allows it to detect and tune to nearby transmission, making it easier to find a frequency. This Bearcat scanner is also designed to be compatible with your computer to program it to suit your needs. It only requires two AA batteries for operation. The BC75XLT scanner is designed to receive conventional Analog communications, it does not support Digital communications. Some Police/Fire/Emergency/Public Safety Agencies in larger cities are now switching over to Digital communication systems. Before purchasing, please confirm whether the communication you want to receive is Digital or Analog. The BC75XLT is perfect for monitoring conventional analog radio communications such as NASCAR, Auto Racing, Aircraft, Civilian & Commercial Aviation airshows, Railroads, Marine, Business/Industrial radio, Utilities, amateur (ham radio) bands, and NOAA Emergency Weather monitoring. Also, any Public Safety agencies that use non-Digital communication systems. The BC75XLT operates on two AA batteries, (batteries are not included). Use either two AA Alkaline or AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries. The BC75XLT includes a USB charging/power cable to power and/or charge AA rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.
