Included with this fireplace is a built-in cast iron flue damper which reduces heat loss when the fireplace is not being used. Also included is a wood basket grate constructed of 1/2" steel to hold logs in place. Lastly, there is almost the option to turn this wood burning fireplace into a gas fireplace as there are two easy knockouts to access a gas line.With top and bottom louvers, heat is circulated with ease throughout the room. The brick lining makes your hearth look elegant and makes cleaning very simple. There is also a built-in ash lip which allows for easy ash removal and prevents spillage as well as the lift-up grate reducing obstacles.
