Starting July 1, Medicare will cover three Ozempic-style weight-loss medications for $50 per month through a new temporary federal program called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. Eli Lilly estimates roughly 20 million Medicare patients could meet the clinical criteria, most of whom have never had access to these drugs through their coverage.
