North Texas to see more rain over weekend after heavy storms brought outages, downed trees
North Texans can expect some more rain — with the potential for large hail, damaging winds and localized flooding — after dealing with heavy storms and power outages during the week, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
Flash flood warning affecting North Texas Saturday afternoon, according to the NWS
A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1:34 p.m. The warning is for Collin, Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties. "At 1:34 p.m., Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
UPDATE: Expect quarter-sized hail with thunderstorms to hit North Texas Saturday
The National Weather Service issued an updated severe thunderstorm warning at 12:48 p.m. on Saturday in effect until 1 p.m. The warning is for Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties. The storms are expected to bring quarter-sized hail (1 inch).
